Nemean LAN with $9,100
An annual Norwegian LAN known as Nemean will offer ~$9,100 for its CS:GO tournament this February.
Occurring annually in the month of February and in a small village by the name of Kyrksæterøra in the Hemne municipality (about 100km west of Trondheim), the Nemean LAN has been running a space for computer gaming since 2006.
As 2016 will be Nemean's 10th anniversary, the organisers have gathered 100,000 Norwegian Krone (~$11,000) in cash prizes and have additionally decided to earmark 80,000 of the Krone (~$9,100) for a CS:GO tournament this year.
According to the esports manager of Nemean, Torbjørn Lernes, this makes this year's iteration:
"The largest prize pool in the history of CS:GO in, you guessed it: Norway."

Polly's PANTERS to attend Nemean LAN
The LAN itself runs from February 23-28 with the CS:GO event scheduled to run on the weekend (from the 26th to the 28th) although no specific format or schedule for games has yet been decided.
Although no team list has yet been released, two known Norwegian outfits in PANTERS and Tien Len EK have confirmed their attendance.
More information about the event, as well as ticketing, can be found here (the page is in Norwegian). Teams interested in attending can email [email protected].
