WEG attendees released

The attendees for the World E-Sports Games have been released.

WEG's latest event, the World E-Sports Masters, is scheduled for October 6th - November 26nd in Hangzhou, China. The tournament will be Counter-Strike 1.6 and today all the participants were announced.

The competition will consist of 8 of the world's best Counter-Strike teams battling it out in an initial group stage before progressing to a single-elimination bracket.

The Chinese team Dragon were the last team to be added to the list of attendees which also includes the likes of European giants mTw, MYM and fnatic.

"special treatment" for host country's team maybe? :) and i think it is not only china doint it. any country holds the tournament would give their country's teams some kind of special treatments too :D do u think so? btw, dragon is a top team in china now. and question mark for wnv...

I fully agree and I'm well aware that not only China does it :). I'm just agreeing with the other poster that x3o should go instead of Dragon maybe, x3o is a pretty good team.

Same old eight teams once again... someone's going to win, someone's going to lose... couldn't care less. Now, if there was some underdog on the list, I'd watch them with pleasure.

well dragon did go pretty close against fnatic and beat emL if i'm not wrong during the eStars Seoul.. so it's not bad anyway.. but i agree with #34, an underdog would have been fun to watch.
