dignitas, ex-Titan to GS Global Cup

dignitas and ex-Titan have secured the final two spots at the Game Show Global eSports Cup finals, kicking off on Thursday.

With Astralis and EnVyUs already through to the Global eSports Club finals after reaching the last-four stage of the European division, the final two spots at the event in Lithuania were determined by the remaining quarter-final matches, pitting mousesports against dignitas and Ninjas in Pyjamas against ex-Titan.

dignitas and mouz had recently faced each other at DreamHack Open Leipzig, with the Danes claiming a 2-0 win in what was a one-sided affair.

k0nfig powered dignitas to beat mousesports

Nikola "NiKo" Kovač and company went into tonight's match looking for revenge, but they were once again outplayed by dignitas, who relied on the fragging power of Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke and Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye to cruise to a 2-0 victory (16-9 on de_cache and 16-3 on de_cobblestone).

NiP came close to levelling the series as they raced into a 13-5 lead on de_cache, but the French side won a staggering 11 rounds in a row on the Terrorist side to seal a 16-13 victory and an overall 2-0 success.

yup I am so depressed after yesterday's match. I have seen NIP doing bad before, but never so clueless. When they did bad against e frag I just thought that this was a one-off. Apparently not. It seemed as if they were just winging it. Seriously though, if shitzz is top fragging against ur 'tier 1' team after mindless pushing and playing with smg, u got something wrong. And losing one vs ones against ex6tence Ex6tence EX6TENCE What a shame. NIP did so many mistakes that one might argue that they need to disband and uninstall and rip [*] Wow i m so pissed. PS: Where the hell is this THREAT guy :@ Hope he comes back b4 nip have a match against fnatic/nv/astralis and get 16-0ed. inb4 nip will drop further in this week's ranking. They deserve it.

It's true NIP are working with a new player and that they had to change a few roles of their roster to move pyth into it, but ex-Titan is not a team to underestimate. They upset matches very often, and the map pool after the veto favored them greatly. They aren't at a top tier play, but now Ex6Tenz is working with some great talent (btw, Ex6Tenz is actually a good player/aimer, but he is incredibly involved (you could say distracted) in being an In-Game Leader and does his part). "Mindlessly pushing" with SMGs is what (ex)Titan does now if you seen their latest VODs and Demos. It's been working for them (somehow...). eZ Win for Ex-Titan

Maybe Titan can finally get out of the groups. Method should be easy win, but C9 is difficult to predict due to long time we've seen them play + new roster. Titan can beat Astralis if they get the right maps. Both teams are strong on Overpass and Train(they have played 3x OTs on those maps in their last 2 BO3s vs each other).

I would expect Titan to beat cloud9. Without Sean C9 will be trying to just do basic setups which I don't think is enough to beat Titan. Unless someone goes big I think cloud9 are gonna have no T side vs teams like Titan and Astralis. Obviously the outlier is stewie and how the team changed with his addition.

Yeah what I meant by stewie is whether his role in the team will be able to make up for no sean and let the stars go big by being able to get his team in position to trade frag.
