One of France's leading teams, and WCG 2007 winners, emuLate, have failed to qualify for WCG 2008

The French WCG qualifiers are taking place this weekend and the WCG holders, emuLate, will not be participating in WCG 2008 after failing to make it out of the group stages of the French qualifiers.

The holders were placed in the first group along with rivals aAa, ubiteam and xG. aAa and emuLate were both expected to qualify in the group however ubiteam proved to be leading contenders when they were able to win all their matches with relative ease. aAa took the 3 pts agaisnt emuLate which is all they needed to secure themselves 2nd place in Group A and send emuLate crashing out of this year's World Cyber Games.

Here is a list of emuLate's matches which sent them to their doom:

The tournament is still live, now left with aAa, ubiteam, Millenium & Esports-eu who will be competiting in a single elimination bracket for that one berth at this year's WCG Finals which are to be held in Cologne, Germany from November 6th - 9th.

Yeah, FX just recently has found a sponsor, and they were at GameGune and ESWC, so they showed some skill, and the ppl recognize them now. That's really sad that DELTA couldnt show up at some LANs, I think they would show some skill, but well, everything can't be great :(

Frags aren't everythng. Maybe Loord has worse skill than other MYM players but he's very important part of this team. :)

HAHAHAH :D Yes, Neo is the best polish player and probably one of the best in the world (for me the best) but LUq, TaZ, Kuben and Loord are amazing and everyone of them can win match alone.

they're all good but when a team with it's thanks to all the players who are playing under the tag, not only one man. And I don't think that France has a lot of good team who can pretend to beat some top teams. And when I see "emuLate noobs", go hang urself please, when you're from a millenium year of their true level. Everyone can be in a bad shape even the strongest one. Don't hang them too fast.

maybe... just maybe... they arent elite? their fluck of 2007 just ran out, and they're back to being a normal french team. to all french guys saying "MYM has only neo, poland has only MYM" --> you're just throwing yourselves down the hill, since you're saying that only ONE player is better than all the french teams, since he and his team have managed to stay on top5 (top10 if im pessimist) worldwide, while the only french team to do anything was emulate, with one win at a major tournament and zero wins at all the rest important championships. so to conclude: emulate fail, french users fail

Well, speaking for myself, I just think MYM is awesome and except for Loord, each player really impress me (mainly TaZ). Neo represents an unavoidable thing in most of the elite teams. fnatic have f0rest, emL have mSx, mibr have fnx, mTw have Sunde, etc... (well, maybe not a good example because mJe is a mad fragger too). MYM totally deserved their win @ ESWC, what an awesome and hard match vs eSTRO...

Haha thanks, I actually started to discover the pro-scene mainly with Swedish teams and old PGS so I have never been that much into French teams. I know the international scene much better than the French one tbh... It probably explains my way of thinking.

MYM is a really good team... But not as fnatic or mtw... They don't have a lot of competion in poland. Other team can't know their strats.
