Virtus move past Immunity in Split

Virtus.pro are through to the last-four stage at the Counter Pit League Season 2 Finals after defeating Immunity 2-0 (16-11 on de_inferno and de_dust2).

The Counter Pit League Finals, taking place at Spaladium Arena, in Split, began with a clash between a Virtus.pro side looking to make amends after a series of mixed results lately and the new Immunity lineup, featuring Mohammed "MoeycQ" Tizani and Ryan "zewsy" Palmer.

Inferno, the first map of the series, began with Immunity getting out to a 4-0 lead after a very strong start on the CT side. Virtus.pro then finally managed to put their foot down on the throttle and strung six consecutive rounds to overturn the deficit. The final stages of the half were highly contested, however, with Virtus.pro taking a narrow 8-7 lead heading into the break.

Now playing on the defensive side, the Polish team enjoyed a great initial spell and won seven of the first nine rounds of the half to bring the scoreline to 15-9. Immunity then found a lifeline as they picked up back-to-back rounds, only to be shut down by Virtus in a force buy.

Snax returning to his best level?

On Dust2, Immunity had no response to Virtus' pace during the early game, forcing them to call a timeout when the Polish side had an 8-0 lead. Still, Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas's men remained in the driving seat and closed out the half with a commanding 13-2 lead.

It looked like the game was all but over, but Immunity showed great fighting spirit and reduced the deficit to 11-14 after a tremendous spell on the CT side. That is when a p250 rush from the Poles put them on match point, with Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski hammering the final nail into the Australians' coffin with a no-scope AWP shot inside B.

Yeah because losing to a team better than you 3 weeks after a line-up change automatically makes more lineup changes.

It looked like the game was all but over, but Immunity showed great fighting spirit and reduced the deficit to 11-14 after a tremendous spell on the CT side. This is confusing, since you mention 8-0 before. It makes it look like the aussies suddenly came back from 0-8 to 14-11, while it's the other way around. Since this match is VP vs Immunity, scores should be put in like that too tbh.

It's not about switching sides, it's about how it's been set up in the score overview. You dont see the score of a footballmatch switch when the teams switch sides...
