Introducing: New player profiles

As we prepare for the next week's $1,000,000 major in Columbus, we wanted to present you another new feature (in addition to our new event landing page) – player profile pages.

Until now, whenever you clicked on a player's nick on our site (whether in a news post, the search function or the stats section) you would be sent to the player's stats profile page. However, we wanted to make the profile pages less stats oriented and more general, with additional info and links to other sections of our site related to the player.

Therefore we created a new design which you can see below.

In addition to the sections shown here, we also plan to write the biographies for each player (example) and fill out their gear info (example) in the future, as well as implement any other good ideas that would improve the content.

For now, the only players who have these shiny new pages are the ones attending MLG Columbus next week, but we will be enabling them for more and more players over time.

To access them just click on a player's nickname anywhere on our site (for example in a news post like this - Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer, or on the match pages). The only exception will be if you browse around the stats section and click on a player you will still end up on the stats profile page, as we assume you are more interested in their stats.
