CLG wreck G2

CLG defeated G2 16-2 on Dust2 in a crushing fashion in Malmö.

Second match of Group B at DreamHack Masters Malmö brought G2 and CLG together. The French side recently removed Kévin "⁠Ex6TenZ⁠" Droolans from their lineup and added Alexandre "⁠bodyy⁠" Pianaro. CLG, on the other hand, came into the event after earning a Legend status at MLG Columbus 2016.

The battle was on Dust2 and the T-sided Americans turned around a 2v4 disadvantage to win the pistol round and they were able to follow it up with the anti-eco rounds (3-0). CLG were unfazed as they lost the first weapon round and immediately answered to make it 4-1. The 7-1 score caused a G2 timeout.

The stellar play of CLG continued as the French team struggled to put together some rounds. (10-1). Edouard "⁠SmithZz⁠" Dubourdeaux's double opening-kill with the AWP gave G2 their second round but their economy instantly got reset. tarik won a 1v3 as he killed two and planted the bomb on the A-site while Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon thought it was on B. The half ended 13-2 in favor of CLG.

CLG won the pistol round as well and crushed G2 16-2. They will go onto face Natus Vincere while G2 will play GODSENT in the elimination match.

i've been following them since before second mousespaz. they even had slip and sobo on the roster.or maybe lucky i dunno. back to the point. body got bodied hard.

they had lucky, which has dissapeared somehow, havent seen him anywhere xd Yea he did. But i like the fact that the French teams is trying out some fresh players.

the term superstar brings tears to my eyes. i agree shahzeb is dumb, but hell, theyare overly understimated ever since that denial roster with anger. they need fugly,and maybe roca since he clicked really well with the roster when they were tempostorm. and -daps. then all set. andno daps being on the riseis an anomaly he isunreliable on lan. i just want rush naf roca and fugly on one team. and then an alright fifth will do.

No. History lesson. back in the early summer of 2015, nV was dogshit so they needed to drop players, Shox the original founder of that old LDLC lineup wanted to kick happy and ofc smithzz backed him up, but NBK and Kio wanted to kick shox and smithzz, 3v2 so those 2 were kicked, Shox and smithzz then joined G2 together because yes they were friends and there 2 proven french talents... kinda with smithzz lelel. if nV came crying for shox back then he would leave smithzz and do it and they would remain friends, no package deal.

G2 need to realise that when you play a team like CLG, who watch demos forever and rely heavily on what they get from demos, you cant play the same Dust2 you always play, you have to mix it up. CLG realised that G2 dont spot dust2, only shox plays CT with no eyes on mid and they abused it and took advantage of no one spotting them and sent G2 for a ride.

looks like G2 has the same problem NA once had. No one is practicing and are just too comfortable with being a shitty team.

They were not prepared, no time to prac. CLG just abused the fact, that G2 couldn't adjust. Just antistrat SmithZz near the car and B pushes. EZ PZ Also lost 2 pistols

How does JDM manage to play so well sat like that. He's so laid back he might as well get a bed up there and recline properly on his back whilst he plays. Anyway, RIP G2. As long as Shox have a say, SmithzZ will never be kicked off a team. Shox has been carrying him around on his teams even before CSGO was released. Shox and Ex6 were on a bad relationship before the last french shuffle, Shox even said he would never play with Ex6 again but was forced to it since Envy kicked him and his buttbuddy. The guy surely forced through management the exit of Ex6 after the failed Major, idk if RpK agreed on it and I'm sure Scream don't since he and Ex6 have really good relationship irl.
