Torpedo release team
Torpedo Gaming have announced on Twitter that they have cut ties with their Counter-Strike squad with immediate effect.
The Swedish team had been part of Torpedo since August, when they joined the UK-based organisation after producing some good results in online tournaments while playing as UNLEASHED.
Under Torpedo's banner, the team finished third at the Nordic Masters and reached the offline stages of the Counter Pit League Season 2 Finals, where they were sent packing in the quarter-finals by Astralis.

Torpedo and team part ways
In a statement to HLTV.org, Simon "downie" Storm cited "different goals" as the reason for Torpedo and the team to part ways, adding that the relationship ended on good terms.
"Both parties felt that this was the best choice," he said. "We are grateful to Torpedo and their management during our time together, and we part ways as friends.
"The team will keep playing together with the tag Metapods until we find a suitable organisation to represent. For all the organisations interested in supporting us, we can be reached via [email protected]"
Metapods, who are facing Escape in the SL I-League Invitational qualifiers, have the following lineup:
Joachim "darti" Fornstedt
Simon "atter" Atterstam
Samuel "decent" Oldenburg
Simon "downie" Storm
Erik "zende" Sundeqvist
Today marks the end of an era as we part ways with our CS:GO team. We wish them all the best in the future.
