fnatic defeat Cloud9

After two upsets in Group A's opening matches, fnatic and Cloud9 kicked off Group B on Inferno at the ESL Pro League Season 3 Finals.

Jake "⁠Stewie2K⁠" Yip got a triple-kill for his CT-sided team and Cloud9 got the pistol round but fnatic did what fnatic does and managed to win the next round with a force buy. Cloud9 found a round victory after losing three but got reset right after as fnatic extended their lead to 4-2.

Tyler "⁠Skadoodle⁠" Latham showed up in the eighth round with two AWP opening kills, initiating a two round streak for Cloud9. Another force buy worked for fnatic as the Swedes didn't let their oppenents tie it (6-4). Despite a 5vs3 advantage thanks to Skadoodle's kills, Cloud9 came up short in the 13th round and fnatic led 9-6 at halftime.

The Swedes stopped Cloud9's A rush in the pistol round and made it 12-6 after winning the anti-ecos. The North Americans took a timeout after the score reached to 14-7 and it worked for them as they won two rounds and forced fnatic to eco. Despite the late comeback effort, fnatic won it 16-10
