The first upperbracket semifinal at the Global Challenge in Dubai, seeing MYM taking on mTw, saw a one-man-show from MYM’s key-player Neo.
The Danes from mTw should have a shot against MYM in the upperbracket semifinal. The ESWC 2008 champions lost to mTw in the group stage during the ESWC 2008 grand finals, being the first time in history that mTw defeated the Polish team. This time around, the Danes did not have much luck. Due to a much ignited Neo, MYM was able to simply crush mTw.
MYM started their dominance with a 12:3 CT lead on nuke, where mTw never got their rushed to the bombspots working at all. As CT mTw was not able to win the pistol-round, which made it even less possible to win. It all went down the drain for mTw, when they lost to MYM armed with deagles.
This ships MYM to the upperbracket final, where they will face either SK Gaming or mousesports. The Danes will face Made in Brazil in the lowerbracket, to fight out who will keep playing at the Global Challenge in Dubai.
