Dragon won by ghosting?

World e-Sports Masters kicked off today in Hangzhou, China – Victories for mTw, mousesports and Dragon.

The first day at the World e-Sports Masters kicked off with Warcraft 3, the Counter-Strike 1.6 teams should enter the tournament in the evening. Opening the Counter-Strike tournament should be the Chinese hope from wNv, taking on the Danes from mTw. The Chinese did however not stand a chance against the KODE5 and ESWC Masters champions. The Danes won their first group stage match with 16:5 and will tomorrow be facing e-STRO.

Up next should be the Global Challenge Dubai and Global Challenge Montreal winners, as mousesports faced fnatic in a European clash. A very close match on train, ended with the Germans pulling out victorious with a 16:14 win.

Third match of the day should be SK Gaming taking on e-STRO in the second match of group A. The two met last time at the ESWC 2008 grand finals, where the Koreans could close a win against the Swedes with a 16:11 win. The Swedes did not get a win this time neither as the teams tied up 15:15, splitting the points.

Last match of the day saw MYM taking on Dragon. A match that MYM should be able to win, without too much trouble. The match did however not go as 97% users on the site predicted. MYM ran into a offensive terrorist play from Dragon on train, who won the first half with 11:4. Even though MYM was able to play a decent terrorist side, it was simply not enough, as Dragon got the five needed rounds to secure a 16:12 victory.

The Chinese did however receive a warning during the first half, due to ghosting. Here is what MYM manager Ronnie “TwAizZ” Jelsbak said after that match:

"Well, really bad experience today playing Dragon, unfortunately the stage is made in a way, so when you are sitting in front, and looking back on your own players behind you, you can see the 2 players from the other team sitting on top, and several times I caught 2 of the Dragon players looking at our 2 top screens, and giving info, which was not all. Several of the players took off their headphones when they died, so they could hear the Chinese commentators, and still give info to their team mates. After complaining about it 3 or 4 times in the first half, finally the admins saw it for them self and gave Dragon a warning, but unfortunately it was too late for us to get back in the game."

Tomorrow the second round of the group stage will be played, once again with a total of four matches.

Note that there will NOT be any HLTV available. The WEM organization will not allow us to connect HLTV's and broadcast the matches. We however choose to make the matchpages, so you guys can bet and discuss the matches as always.
Instead of HLTV there will be some livestreams, we will do our best to include the livestreams here on our page. If that is not possible, we will link to them from here.

We will update our coverage section with results and standings during the entire event, and should demos be released by the organizers, we will add them right away.

watch your language..You are not mym!You dut know exactly what happened.Dragon players only turned back cheering up with other team-mates only when they won the round(s)... It's funny to look for excuses every time when you lose a game. mym lost a game to dragon on dust2 in E-star.....MYM is good ,but not too good to be undefeatable.

MYM is not defeatable, not to say that Dragon had already won them at e-stars in Korea. I like MYM too but I donnot like MYM's manager's behavior. He kept looking at fnatic's side while playing against fnatic, what can you explain?

First of all, i dont speak to the players during the match, sens i do not speak polish everyone would understand what i where to say. Sekund of all, from where the manager is standing on the stage, you can not see any of the other players screens. And last, there was 2 ekstra admins today, just outside the straming picture keeping an eye on the front row players and managers. So plz dont talk about stuff you dont know anything about :)

agree, warning should be taken in case of russian jump or something like that. but they apparently won the game due to playing unfair during the whole match. they deserve to be disqualified or at least the match should be contumated.

well the idea of putting 2 players in a upper level is stupid anyway..they should be on a row and face-to-face with the other team. that would prevent these things to happen.

mYm have won one of the two major events of the year so far. Twice in a row btw. And WCG is coming... so yes, mYm are powerful. In fact, the most powerful modern team with a hatful of biggest titles. Which, however, does not change the fact of slightly exagerating this one case. Dragon played well, mYm didn't play their A game. Ghosting is a disgrace, but still, to be honest, I think they deserved the victory today nonetheless. "3 or 4 times" isn't an excuse good enough for the failed MYM's CT side. Maybe, yeah, maybe, the game could turn another way. But still - Dragon played very well. I hope they learn from this mistake and won't behave so ever in future... Feel sorry for MYM, but with their team spirit they're expected to come on top of even such unpleasant issues..

Wooooow, the World had seen many f**** up matches. And what You are trying to say is Dragon once won with mYm so there is nothing special about it, but there is. MYM is one of the biggest teams on the planet, lately they've had a great tournament loosing only to incredible Mouz team and Dragons is just one of Asian teams that sticks to homeland tournaments and we don't really know anything about them ( they like to ghost, we know that so far ) and don't say crap like You guys don't know what happened because when admins are giving one of the teams a warning than something is happening.

Wow I've seen stupid reasoning but this page is just.. WOW. So what if wNv is also a chinese team? They might not ghost even if they have the chance to, as they are (ok here comes the important part) A GOOD TEAM. Now dragon then. Who are they? Have they ever won anything? They are good probably, top 50 of world, but they are not good like mYm is. They got a warning, I think that alone proves that they were indeed doing something illegal. It's another point completely if that affected the outcome as much as mYm claims but in cs even if you only lose a few rounds at the very wrong time it can screw up your money situation completely so yah. Go away chinese people, your clans have never been and never will be able to do it outside of china. Proven fact.

As long as there is an official warning that's clear to me, Dragon didn't play fare. ONE single round could affect the game further on, you all know that! MYM does not need to play their "A game" to win over Dragon, come on...!

They had a warning thats a fact and dont defend them. Again congratulations to Dragon team , train more and maybe they will win something ;x. p.s mouz will win , they are on fire :(

It's typical in azia it's allways crap there. They allways need to do something against the rules... How come this doesn't happen with any other team that comes from any other part of the world? And no HLTV cough why ? hax! says enough they should kick Dragon period..

And the guys who says dragon top30 ? or whatever Asian guys have a monster skill they are robot ahahaa and on maps like D2 the best tactics are made by teams like eSTRO or wNv :)

forgive his speakless english, he meant: warning is warning.ghosting is ghosting. The warning was given by the Korean head admin who's being an admin for 6(+?) years. And the reason is players from dragon typing to each other after died. Its not like what the manager from MYM said: ghosting.

I am adressing this to the chinnese guys. It's a real; fact I like China u know:) If you will have the experience of a lan and see at least for 1 round how frustrating it is to turn around and see the team ghosting you'll know what MYM's manager tried to point out.It has psyhological impacts in that game to know that you are not treated equally with your adversaires.Only by knowing this it decreases your morale and if you see the enemy always knows where you are you kind off quit trying to win...Sorry for bad english I hope I made my point clear to you ...peace:)

This is really a shame on all tournaments that are taking place in China in the future. Ghosting has really been an issue for all Chinese tournaments, so they really should reinforce their admins crew. With more "security" that they really aren't ghosting or doing anything suspicious overall would be splendid. And that has really worked for all the other tournaments so far, or most of them.
