Athletico BH win ESL ANZ Ch'ship S1

Over the last couple of days Season 1's finals of ESL ANZ Championship was played out between four of the best teams in the region, Exile5, Chiefs, Parallax and Athletico, in a double-elimination, best-of-three format.

Parallax stood on top of the upper bracket following a dominating win over Athletico, who only got three rounds in total over the course of two maps, and a three-mapper with Chiefs.

Despite the initial blowout, Athletico fought through the lower bracket, though Exile5 gave them a run for their money in the final, while Chiefs fell after a two-map affair in the consolidation final.

In the re-match, the fully Australian side behind Connor "⁠chuch⁠" Morgan took the revenge with 16-11 and 16-9 scorelines on Mirage and Dust2.

Athletico are currently sitting on top of Group A of CyberGamer Oceania eSports Masters with four wins and also will take part in the Chinese qualifier's second stage for SL i-League StarSeries Season 2.
