Virtus.pro invited to DH Las Vegas

DreamHack has announced that Virtus.pro have received an invite to attend DreamHack Masters Las Vegas.

The Polish giants are the second team confirmed for the $450,000 tournament, joining TyLoo, the winner of the Asian qualifier.

Virtus.pro were last seen competing in the ELEAGUE Season 2 playoffs, taking 5th-8th following a 1-2 defeat against FaZe.

Virtus.pro secure first DH Masters Las Vegas invite

Seven more teams will be invited to DreamHack Masters Las Vegas, while the remaining seven sides will be determined by regional qualifiers held in Europe and North America.

DreamHack Masters Las Vegas will be hel from February 15-19, with the group stages taking place on the MGM Grand Casino Floor, while the playoffs will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Nah, that can't be the main reason every event wants them. Especially in NA tournies - VP wouldn't have that amount of fanbase there. I'm starting to wonder if either VPs CEO is the biggest asslicker in the world or just has some contact with Putin and he "gets" them invited for every tourney. Can't think of any other reason.

This is a 16-team tournament with 8 sides being invited. VP is definitely 2nd or 3rd best team in the second half of the year. Do you think their invite was undeserved? Or can you name 8 teams that deserve it more? I get that VP can't really qualify to any event due to their poor online play, but you cannot say that they shouldn't be invited.

its too much NA events, half of 200k tournaments were in NA/BR, although NA has only optic and c9 and brasil has SK, the rest of tier1 is in europe

+big fanbase = more viewer +they play nice counterstrike +the risk that they fail online qualifiers is too high for the event host and they dont wanna have some shit team instead of vp then xD +they come to playoffs in like 90% of their events so i guess there is no reason not to invite them
