North send compLexity packing

The first pistol round went the way of the Danes, as Kristian "⁠k0nfig⁠" Wienecke won a 1vs1 after plant on A against Bradley "⁠ANDROID⁠" Fodor and safely defused the bomb. Having plant money, Complexity were able to buy on the third round, but a strong defense from North on the A site forced coL back on an eco.

It was on the fifth round, during their second buy, when Complexity were finally able to get on the board after making it through to ramp and eliminating the Danes. North then stopped the North Americans in the following round and reset their economy for a 5-1 lead.

With 7-1 on the board for North, Complexity called their technical timeout, but North were able to keep the momentum and stopped the North American side on a yard to B attempt. With North not giving a single round up during the rest of the half, the score was 14-1 at the switch.

Complexity were able to take the second pistol round, and followed it up as the five UMPs on their players easily disposed of the Danish side. With 14-4 on the board, a rush by Emil "⁠Magisk⁠" Reif into vents from squeaky on the first gun round gave North a lot of map control to play with, which they took advantage of in a 2vs3 after plant to get on match point. In the last round, Michael "⁠Uber⁠" Stapells beat k0nfig in a 1vs1 after plant on A, but the Canadian player was unable to defuse in time without a kit, meaning coL are the first team out of DreamHack Masters Las Vegas.

Key Moment: Despite René "⁠cajunb⁠" Borg committing suicide on the first pistol round and thus leaving k0nfig in a 1vs1 after plant situation, the latter was able to win the duel against ANDROID and defuse the bomb to get North ahead from the get-go.

PotM: René "⁠cajunb⁠" Borg had a kill in 13 of the 16 won rounds, won two 1vs1s, and had 100.9 ADR.
