THREAT: Inferno still plays the same

After NiP eliminated TyLoo in Group C's elimination match, Björn "THREAT" Pers gave us an interview in which he explained what the team fixed since their disappointing Main Qualifier showing, Inferno coming into the map pool, and NiP's results so far in Las Vegas.

Ninjas in Pyjamas began Group C with a narrow loss to Cloud9 on Overpass on day one, but they survived their elimination match against TYLOO with comfort to advance to the deciding series.

We grabbed Björn "⁠THREAT⁠" Pers to ask him about the team's issues at the Main Qualifier, Ninjas in Pyjamas's improvement since then, as well as the changes in the map pool which saw Inferno replacing Dust2.

threat is outdated. with the closed skyboxes inferno will not be played the same way. just wait until pro teams have put more hours into the map. ggwp

That's only his current opinion. If the meta changes then his opinion will change.

What do you mean IF the meta changes? with current inferno it WILL change.

That's possible. That also may not happen. What matters for the meta to change is what works, not what should work in theory. If teams find a way to dominate the banana again, and terrorists find no counter-play, then the meta will not change a lot no. But that wouldn't be that much of an issue I think, Valve have modified their maps after they've been played by the top of the scene, it was the case for train, cobble, overpass and nuke, so they could always make changes if they see that it's still being played the same way.

Not gonna speculate. Let's just wait and see how pro teams approach the current version of inferno.

Well, I read oskar's interview and then I noticed there is THREAT too.. disappointed, vid only. I haven't watched it yet, I dont think I ever will. And.. well, I'm not fan of oskar.
