no_one steps down from Selfless

Selfless have announced that they bring in Christopher "cJ" Jones to the starting five as Matthew "no_one" Congdon will take a break.

The North American team Selfless have released a post on their website saying that Matthew "⁠no_one⁠" Congdon will step down from the active roster.

no_one has decided to take a break.

To replace the 21-year-old player, Christopher "⁠cJ dA K1nG⁠" Jones will be promoted from the bench and he is from now on one of the starting five in Selfless.

no_one was a part of the team when they secured the last-chance spot in ESL Pro League after losing their relegation match. They won the last-chance spot with a 2-1 victory versus Splyce as Echo Fox were unable to field a line-up for the fifth season.

The owner of Selfless, Steve "⁠Ryu⁠" Rattacasa, stated on the website that it is no_one's own wish to take a break from competition:

Following our relegation matches, Matt indicated the desire to take a break from competition, and we feel this is best for all involved. We'd like to thank Matt for all his hard work and dedication, for being a great teammate, and for providing us with endless laughs and Smarties candy.

Replacing Matt in our starting five will be Chris "cJ-dA-K1nG" Jones, who has been promoted from a backup slot. cJ's is a very talented player with a strong rifle and good communication, and we're looking forward to competing with him this season.

13 out of the 75 players in the top15 teams are from US / Canada. Would say that fulfills requirements for a decent scene. That being said I don't see a NA team cracking top 3 again for a while, but there will always be 2-3 in top 15 and at least 1 of which in top10.

Could be, wording on these statements is usually amateur hour. But using open ended words like "indicated" leave too much room for interpretation. If he said "I want to take a break from comp. gaming and this team" then quote it. An indication can be as simple as a sigh after a loss.
