HLTV.org presents Source TV

Starting from today it is possible for all Counter Strike: Source gamers to use our free of charge 100 % automatic bookable broadcasting servers. We feel the time is right for an expansion and we hope the community will respond well to this.

HLTV.org has years of experience in broadcasting various types of esport, but SrcTV is rather new to us, but we still hope the Source community will welcome us. It will be a great adventure for us and we look forward to help out another on-growing community.

The latest addition means that it is now possible to get broadcasting in the following mods:

Counter-Strike: 1.6
Day of Defeat
Counter-strike: Condition Zero
Natural Selection
Counter-Strike: Source

We hope the years of experience with other mods will help us in this early stage, but please report any bugs you might encounter.

After the beta stage is over, which will be even quicker the more feed back we get from the users, we will invest massive server power in both book able servers for the masses on a daily basis and also in hosting the major CS:S tournaments with the best Source gamers participating.

The various tournament organisers are free to contact HLTV.org if they were to be interested in broadcasting of their respective events.

We hope you appreciate that finally a professional organisation will take care of your broadcasting and we look forward to maximize your spectator experience.

HLTV.org is also proud to announce that we will be broadcasting the Clanbase Eurocup first LAN finals ever for Counter-Strike: Source which will be played at Assembly '06 in Helsinki, Finland.

Welcome to the CS:S people :) Properly gonna be a lot of discussions between CS and CSS people on hltv.org now :D

Indeed, i submitted the first few bugs yesterday when i got it working, and i plan to keep submitting the bugs as they come.. Sadly HLTV has been completly abandoned, maybe there is still hope for SourceTV.. :)

I am quite sure that the gamers is interested, but you cannot expect many new users/veiwers since nobody likes watching csstv :(. "i submitted the first few bugs yesterday when i got it working" - hehe :D, you'll soon find out that csstv is one big bug :P

Our SourceTV booking has been ready since SourceTV was released, but we never put it live since SourceTV was so buggy.. But it seems to be helping, and if they'd fix the damn camera i think it would look bright.. :)

I am so f*ckin tired for this "css is for newbies"-talk only ppl who have played 1.x for several years and try css and suck in it naturally say that. Why can't 1.6 scene just agree the fact that 1.6 and css are diffrent games and if you don't like 1.6/css and some1 else does like it then you can keep own "css is for newbies" oppinions in ur own head only.

Being a 1.6 gamer myself I understand that CS:S is a completly differant game to 1.x. There isn't much differance as far as the plot behind the game but the gameplay itself has changed dramaticly. Having played 1.6 for many years I dont take to css very easily but it is entertaining for me. I rarly play it due to my commitment to 1.6, but I have no problems with people playing it nor playing it myself. Its a good game, it does need some fixing, but like any 'new' game it takes time, valve is lazy :P

Its weird that most 1.6 gamers have a problem with source gamers but source gamers have no problem with 1.6 gamers (in general).

Well.. nice to see improvements of cource, and great work by hltv.org - but i would rather see CSS-live.org doing this, as we could have been without childish 1.6 players commenting that we are plain newbs every time a SrcTV-ip will be up :\ You just can't get these two communities together no matter how much you try. And its not just 1.6 players who find them selves better than source players, its also sourceplayers using attack as a defence, to prevent them selves from being flamed. No reason to even try making source on hltv.org. It will probably be working the same way as gotfrag.com. Each time there is anything conserning source, 10 1.6 players will flame-post, and no-one wants to read that.

It will be kept seperate, and the booking system already supports several mods, i mean Natural Selection and DoD isn't CS 1.6 either, but people can book them.. Don't worry :)

True, but you need something like this to shake things up with valve! Surely they can't ignore the biggest and best HLTV provider on the planet! This is exatly what the css community needs! Not all those newbie websites that have like 50 users, and a web interface that looks like something made on a beginners course i html.

lol, easy, there will be no lag again, we are not stupid youknow, reason we waited this long was to get our new network equipment ready, besides, we run more than 10 times as many HLTV servers than we run SrcTV servers at the moment..

i think that cs 1.6 is getting old, so it's nice that you finally have made an offer for cs:s players.. in the fuiture i think steam will consentrate on cs:s and make it better. cs:s will in a few years have the role that cs 1.6 has now:)

Very nice :) I am glad that CS:Source becomes more and more popular. And for all 1.6 fan boys who say that CSS suck - because CSS is different from 1.6 it doesnt sucks, maybe you suck at CSS, but not CS:Source...
