Astralis to skip ESL One Cologne

Astralis have decided against attending ESL One Cologne, the Danish organisation have announced.

In a Twitter post, Astralis justified the decision with the team's congested fixture during the Summer, combined with their "dream" of defending their Major title in Krakow.

The playoffs of ESL One Cologne will run from July 7-9 at LANXESS Arena. With PGL Major Krakow starting just a week later, some teams are expected to decline an invitation to the ESL tournament and prioritise the Valve-sponsored event.

Astralis will not attend this year's ESL One Cologne

Still, SK, Virtus.pro and FaZe have already confirmed their attendance at ESL One Cologne, with more big-name teams due to be revealed in the weeks to come. The prize distribution and the schedule for the group stage of the tournament have not yet been revealed.

Actually what he's saying is astralis beat one solid team being VP. After the major mostly everyone was in transition with roster changes and that stuff. Which greatly undermines their performance. Sure they won the major, but look who the played NaVi (inconsistent) Fnatic (I am a fnatic fan) and they still barely won against them honestly. Then VP choke in the finals arguably one of the biggest chokes ever. So they haven't proven anything to me honestly but that's what he's saying :D nt though.

So what? Just because they haven't won anything since then they don't have a chance of winning this one? It's not like they won the major and then became a shit team. They are maintaining top 3 in HLTV ranking for more than one year by now and are in great form. 3rd place in the last major, 2nd place in DH Master barely losing that final map to VP and 1st in ESL Pro League atm.
