Mortal Kombat have announced their return to activity with four players from the ESEA Global Premier Challenge winning squad.

After over two years together under a number of organisations, the Bulgarian team fell apart in September 2016 following internal issues, with Emiliyan "⁠spyleadeR⁠" Dimitrov and Nikolay "⁠nkl⁠" Krastev then re-creating the squad at the start of the year, but without success.

Viktor "⁠v1c7oR⁠" Dyankov, Kamen "⁠bubble⁠" Kostadinov, spyleadeR and Simeon "⁠dream3r⁠" Ganev have apparently put their differences aside as they have decided to revive the MK name together with Hristian "⁠shEMETA⁠" Spasov, formerly of HEADSHOTBG.

MK remain one of the most successful Counter-Strike teams in Southeast Europe. Their biggest achievement was winning the ESEA Season 22 Global Premier Challenge, in Katowice, after defeating Crowns in the title decider.

The announcement comes just days after ESL confirmed changes to its tournament restriction policy, with VAC-banned players now allowed to partake in all of its competitions after serving a two-year ban.

MK come back to life

dream3r is one of the players who will finally be able to compete in ESL tournaments under this new rule since his VAC ban dates back to October 2014. He will, however, remain ineligible for the Minors and the Majors, where nkl will step into his shoes.

"We are very motivated after the announcement about ESL changing its VAC rules," Dyankov said in a statement.

"Our main goals are to qualify for the ESL Pro League, all IEM tournaments, ESL One Cologne and the Minor, where we will try to qualify for the Major.

"We want to become a top team, keep the same lineup and earn more achievements than ever. We want to make Bulgarian fans happy once again.

"We are open to any offers, and we can be reached at [email protected]."

MK's new lineup consists of:

someone can't read. LOL He is able to join ESL tournaments (2 (or 3) year ban rule), but not Minors or Majors (can't play with a vac banned account (vac for CS:GO) on major/minor tournaments promoted by valve.

there are two/three main reasons for their failure: When they were at their peak, they had several LAN wins(bo3 and bo1) against nV and Astralis(both top2 teams at the time) and also some wins against Titan/dignitas(both top 10 teams). However they did not change dreamer for someone who could play at the big tournaments. They did not change nkl,although he was massively underperforming,while not beeing IGL and not to mention that he did not play a support role. Also spyleader's leadership is outdated(same as Blade). He knows how to build a default, but his strats are very easy to read.

A type of person who blames his country and probably lives outside Bulgaria, you cant say that we don't have good internet when you don't even know it, maybe in sofia they don't this doesn't mean we don't have, watch some reports, not because everybody around sunny beach and sveti vlas play cs go with lower than 10 ping and they pay around 10-15$ per month.
