João "KillDreaM" Ferreira is once again part of k1ck's Counter-Strike team, the Portuguese organisation has announced.

The 24-year-old was on the lookout for a new team to represent following the disbandment of the former paiN team, with whom he had spent six months in North America.

Joao "⁠KILLDREAM⁠" Ferreira will step into the shoes of Diogo "⁠syon⁠" Oliveira, who had been on k1ck's books since the start of the year. During syon's time in the organisation, the team won the ASUS AURA Sync Tournament and secured a spot in the group stage of the upcoming 4Gamers event.

KillDreaM returns to k1ck

KILLDREAM is no stranger to k1ck, having donned the organisation's colours between 2013 and 2015, competing in a number of international tournaments, such as fragbite Masters, Gfinity Pro League, ESWC and DreamHack Valencia.

With these changes, k1ck now have:

Rmn is good but zelin, killdream, mutiris and horv are better. I saw someone said that hirv is awping he's a rifler (a hibrid). Hirved didn't proved in big tournament but he's pretty good he deserve a chance

Rmn is taking more,in the team, the awp than horvy or million. In the global they have a good team mb put zelin,zpr a good T3/4 team, idk but rarely portuguese teams go play a international tournament(whe we have some team is not even the best lol). But now ,there are some good tournaments in Portugal with 5k/10k of prize pool, finally on prize pool we are improving, now it's time to the teams and the players do the improvement

rubenix dude? zpr? hell no. Rmn, Mutiris, Zelin, killdream and ScrM. like noxer* said. But we still have Coachi, Shouw, aim, million and just to another high level team. They need an org that can pay at least 1000€/month to that they can be pro players, and belive, this two lines reach the top level on international scene fast, if have a chance of be pro's. Our mixes go ESWC and win of top20 HLTV, in 2014, K1ck win from NIP, and NIP number one at the moment, we've have players, but we don't have money to support them.

For people that don't know, Portugal never had a org that make a line profesional, never had a chance, but, without any profesional support, 3 years ago, a portuguese line beat the best team in the world, NIP, on fifflaren era, 2014, on StarLadder like you can see here: youtube.com/watch?v=fsEeKdfYhzk My question is, why? why this portuguese line don't had a chance after beating the best team on the world of that year, the legendary line of NIP, on a international tier1 cup? Why no one saw that? Brazil teams now, have with not that hard, a chance, look how many brazilian line we have now, and only SK can beat the number ones of now, so, why? why can't someone give a chance to a portuguese line? just one line. you need local infrastructure to hire teams. like LDLC is a french company which always supported french teams. if no portugal organization is big enough to support a pt team you can't blame anybody else for that. maybe now with pt/br teams you can get better bcz you first have to prove yourself before you get nice contract. like KabuM.TK or smth they crowdfunded their trips to events and they proven there that they are good enough. 1 get money 2 prove you're good 3 get contract.

you've your reason, i understand, but look to the ammount of teams on america, on europe too that don't show nothing and have a org supporting them, look Red Reserves, igame.com, luminosity, space soldiers, tricked and so many more, line with 0 showed, what they show, k1ck already show 2x more along this 17 years, k1ck have almost all, but they haven't the most important, money. This investiment in america teams like nrg that make me sad, when we've so much talent here and never one soul help us. We need someone that can pay at least 1000/month to have a profesional pro team. That's is the only thing, and so important, that no org in Portugal can. We need strange investiment on e-sports here, our we just can continue praying for our football teams do something.

or a lot of portugal people should pressure certain companies to get a CS:GO team. it's the free market and stuff. in USA companies invest in cs teams because they know that's what their clientele likes so they can get more revenue from sales. in portugal either companies don't think their people care enough about cs or their people are too poor to invest in computer stuff or there are just only a few healthy companies. don't expect an external company to give portugal team a chance. it's all about the potential customers in the area of the team you hire. UK org will rather have a german team than a portugal team. not because of skill but because of market logic. so you need a portugal company who is willing to invest in your market. and then if a PT company does this you all need to start buying only their products and not with their competition so then that company knows it's profitable to have a cs team. fix your economy and if you cant leave the EU or pressure portugal companies to invest in a portugal team and reward them with sales from that company.

do you think that Portugal don't have revenue to an investiment? men, if someone make a portuguese line profesional, will be crazy, all the community here will buy something of that team, it's like a legendary event to us, Portuguese people are crazy man, we love a lot our country, we support with all our souls, our superstars, you have football like example. In cs, you can have 100% sure, it will be the same. yeah, that's a problem, portuguese companies neither know e-sports, that's sad, but true fact. that's true, they don't know our potential in market, so they will invest faster in a country with already sures, then in one without sure. That's why nrg, complexity and a lot of other bad teams exist in the international scene. Meanwhile in Portugal, 17 years showing nice results with an amateur team and still with no chance on an org that can support to play on the international scene.

you can try to do something about it. as i said market logic defines what portugal companies do in portugal. if you can organize a lot of portugal fans (customers) in a facebook group and demand of certain companies that they sponsor a csgo team or else you collectively stop to purchase from them. you got a lot power as a customer over companies who end up sponsoring them. maybe pt scene needs an extra push. combine all people who want kick to have sponsors in one gigantic customer group and start lobbying different companies. then for companies even having the image of not caring about local csgo teams will be damaging to them - if you can combine enough people to pressure them.

if k1ck train like in Fox era, they can do something, but if they continue playing pugs only, we can't raise. p.s. and don't have afraid to say, with Fox, it's tier2 for sure, without Fox, with this lineup, they need to train a lot and make some effort, tier3 playing like now, but can achieve tier2 if they start playing like a team instead of just get together the best players to play like a mix on pugs.
