Secret win CPH Games female

Team Secret have won Copenhagen Games' female Counter-Strike after defeating London Conspiracy 2-0 (16-1 on Nuke and 16-14 on Inferno).

Twenty-eight female teams from all over the world attended Copenhagen Games to compete in the tournament and fight for a piece of the €14,000 (~$15,000) prize pool.

Team Secret, the heavy favourite heading into the event, reached the final without breaking a sweat, beating, MASY, expert and Red Reserve in the playoffs by 2-0 scorelines.

Secret win yet another international tournament

Many had expected dignitas to reach the final, but Emmalee "EMUHLEET" Garrido's team fell at the hands of London Conspiracy, an all-Russian lineup, in the last-four stage in a two-map series.

Secret took the lead in the final with a 16-1 thrashing on Nuke. Inferno was much more keenly contested, with London Conspiracy almost overturning a 4-11 deficit, but Zainab "zAAz" Turkie's team took the map just when the prospect of overtime loomed.

mimi and ant1ka looking beautiful as always but if it has been clearly established time and time again that Team secret is notch higher above rest of female competition, why don't organizers ban them from female cs so that they are forced to compete in open CS and they actually have to get good

Why would they get banned? Isn't this more of a call to the other female teams to practice harder and get better? Or you think anyone who dominates a sport should be banned because they are too good? Way to promote competition. "Sorry, if you get too good you get banned, go chill on the beach for a year until you suck more". GG thinking.

no. If suppose you are playing u-19 and are too good, you should receive a callup to big leagues. Its like suppose a player is lighting up the tier 2 league in a football team of england per se. then he is insta bought up to top leagues rather than let being vanquished in lower leagues. Like promotion and relegation

This is different. This is a designed competition for the best females, not a callup to a higher league. It's like saying all WNBA who are too good should go play for an NBA team. Point is, they wouldn't make the cut. And then the only way to promote womens basketball would be ruined. It's the same way for female CS. Take away the topteam it'll ruin the strive for others to become great because there is no level of real competition anymore. Because once one gets banned from these tournaments that promotes, if another team gets too good it has to be banned aswell. Making sure no female teams would be allowed to get good because they don't stand a chance at the open tournaments. Just look at when epsilon beat secret 16-0 with two standins. Didn't even look closer than the scoreline indicated. So you're wrong mate, it's two very different things. You need this to promote female cs or you could just remove these tournaments altogether and make sure females have no avenue of approaching the general public.

Man its simple if you are a notch above your league and there is a higher league, you should play the higher league. Team Secret are a notch above female CS. Open CS is a notch higher. If you can't perform in open, you are in that limbo,"Okay you wo this tourney but you can't stand anywhere in the main leagues so what's this victory worth?" Physical sports are a lot more different from CS especially Basketball. Its a contact sport. Imagine all the harassment suits. One place it is possible is games like golf, tennis etc but the world just seems to bow down to female demand. I like curling in the aspect that there are many mixed teams doing good at top level

Farming ez money against trash competition instead of bettering themselves and playing at real tournaments... You can't blame them though, everything is setup for this shit.

I love that idea. Secret's players are at the moment miles ahead of everyone else. From what I know, zAAz, juliano and mimi is in FPL Challenger and can easily compete with the players there. Would be nice to see them hitting the bigger tournaments, I mean why not? Would be a great experience for them.

Well its not like they arent allowed to compete in bigger tournaments, they just get decimated everytime they try to qualify for one. But they dont really seem to learn from these experiences or put in extra work to change the result next time, and retreat into their bubble of fe tournaments.

Are you high? NiP, even on their worst form, would absolutely decimate team secret, and it's not even close. Oh please, if you believe NiP is a wasted spot, secret isn't anything other than that.
