Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi's contract with NiP has expired following the two parties' agreement, the player revealed on Twitter earlier today.

Jacob "⁠pyth⁠" Mourujärvi had been benched on Ninjas in Pyjamas since mid-March, when the team signed William "⁠draken⁠" Sundin ahead of SL i-League StarSeries Season 3 Finals.

During that time, the 23-year-old attended Copenhagen Games with a mix called dreamchasers, three of GODSENT's players and Joel "⁠emilio⁠" Mako, and finished second to Singularity.

pyth's stint with NiP comes to a definitive end after nearly one and a half years

More recently, he has been seen playing for Mikail "⁠Maikelele⁠" Bill's new project, ESG!, alongside Fredrik "⁠slap⁠" Junbrant, Alexander "⁠SKYTTEN⁠" Carlsson, and Max "⁠maxie⁠" Lönnström, who attempted to pass the open qualifying stage ahead of the Europe Minor.

Earlier today pyth revealed on Twitter that his contract with Ninjas in Pyjamas has expired, which frees him up to join another organization on a permanent basis.

As of today my contract with NiP has expired due to an agreement. Which means I'm no longer part of @NiPGaming. Thanks for everything!

Hell no, he was for sure one of their best. The issue was Noobs in Pyjamas forced him to awp because they couldn't bare to kick Friberg or Xizt to make room for an awp.

NiP needed a dedicated AWPer and pyth failed to be one, making f0rest pick AWP more often than he should've, so I'd say it's a good move for NiP, f0rest is more useful playing with rifles and picking AWP only from time to time. Now NiP need a good IGL.

But pyth had impact with rifle, feels like nip forced him into awp role and when he couldn't perform with it he got kicked. He was much more useful with rifle than some of the other members imo..

To me f0rest with rifles > pyth with rifles, so they needed either a T1 rifler to make f0rest AWP with no power loss for the team or just a dedicated sniper like draken or jw to let f0rest play with rifles more. Moreover, I guess they wanna keep their 4 core members, that's why kicking xizt or friberg wasn't an option. Anyway, they suck now and sucked previously.

Your first sentence is kind of obvious, ofc f0rest is better with rifles. What I was trying to say is that pyth would have more impact with rifles and didn't deserve the kick over some of the other players but as you know they will never kick any players of the core even if it grants an advantage for the team..

That must be a very ironic "Thanks for everything".. Since he is the 3rd 5th NiP has had. I highly doub that brinking in Draken will change anything in a "level" perspective.
