DreamHack Masters Malmö qualifiers revealed
DreamHack has revealed all the details about the qualifying process for the Masters event in Malmö.
The second DreamHack Masters event of 2017 will run from August 30 to September 3 at Malmö Arena, with 16 teams competing for $250,000 in prize money.
Twelve spots will be determined through invites, while the remaining four will go to the top teams of online qualifiers held in Europe, North America and Asia-Oceania.

In these three regions, the qualifiers will consist of an open and a closed stage. DreamHack has allocated two qualifying slots to Europe, while North America and Asia-Oceania will have just one apiece.
Below you can find information on how to sign up for the regional qualifiers:
European Qualifier - July 9-11 - 2 spots
- Open Qualifier - July 9 - Open a support ticket here with "Malmö EU" as the subject and “Events” as the ticket type.
- Closed Qualifier - July 11 - Top eight from Open qualifier + eight invited teams in a best-of-three, single-elimination bracket.
North American Qualifier - July 9-11 - 1 spot
- Open Qualifier - July 9 - Open a support ticket here with "Malmö NA" as the subject and “Events” as the ticket type.
- Closed Qualifier - July 11 - Top eight from Open qualifier + eight invited teams in a best-of-three, single-elimination bracket.
Asia-Oceania Qualifier - June 11-25 - 1 spot
- Open Qualifier - June 11-18 - Open qualifiers are held in five different regions. Teams can sign up for them by going here.
- Closed Qualifier - June 23-25 - Six teams from Open qualifiers + two invited teams in a best-of-three, single-elimination bracket.
The dates for the regional open qualifiers in Asia-Oceania are the following:
- Oceania - June 11-13 - 1 slot to closed qualifier
- Gulf Cooperation Council - June 12-14 - 1 slot to closed qualifier
- India & SEA - June 12-15 - 2 slots to closed qualifier
- East Asia - June 16-18 - 1 slot to closed qualifier
- China - June 16-18 - 1 slot to closed qualifier
Ninjas in Pyjamas won the 2016 edition of DreamHack Masters Malmö after defeating Natus Vincere 2-0 in the grand final of the tournament, which had $250,000 on offer.
