Binary Dragons qualify for DH Atlanta

Binary Dragons are the first confirmed team at DreamHack Open Atlanta after defeating Spartak 2-0 in the grand final of the European Closed Qualifier.

Both finalists came from the Open Qualifier, with Spartak beating both Outlaws and Spirit by 2-0 scorelines to reach the final of the closed bracket, whereas Binary Dragons defeated Singularity and Playing Ducks.

huNter and co. will be playing in Atlanta from July 21-23

Nemanja "⁠huNter-⁠" Kovač's team got off to a great start to the series as they won their map pick, Mirage, by a 16-12 scoreline. With Anel "⁠NENO⁠" Ceković racking up 21 kills, the Serbians put up a masterclass of a performance on Train, running out 16-5 victors to book their spot at DreamHack Open Atlanta.

The North American event will run from July 21-23 at the Georgia World Congress Center. Joining Binary Dragons in the $100,000 tournament will be the winner of the North American qualifier, which will come to a close tonight, and six invited teams.

Spartak is a good team, their disadvantage versus Binary is same map pool and BD can also play nuke when they want. BD was better yesterday and that's it. Spartak did good job by making Outlaws out of bracket cause Binary had alot of problems with them recently. This is biggest success for serbian cs scene since StarLadder 8 while intel, emi and neno had niko and kgr and that was in 2013 if im not wrong :)

Step up, I watched all matches in closed qualifier, BD must have more self-confident when they have an advantage like 5v4, 5v3, 4v3, 4v2.. Actually, I hope they will get one step more to TOP30 after NeSA 2017 at Finland hltv.org/events/2955/nesa-2017
