Cloud9 move past North

Cloud9 have started their campaign at PGL Major Krakow on the right foot after beating North 16-12 on Mirage.

The match began with a flawless pistol round from North, who followed that up with both anti-ecos to start off the game with a 3-0 lead. Cloud9 pulled one back in the first gun round, courtesy of a quad kill from Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert, and they continuously shut the Danes down in the rounds that followed, with the scoreline blooming to a 7-3 advantage for the North Americans.

After calling a tactical pause, North finally managed to get a buy round, thanks to three kills from Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke. Cloud9 hit back immediately, with Mike "shroud" Grzesiek picking up two frags in a 2v2 situation, but the Danes won the final rounds of the half to bring the deficit to a minimum.

n0thing was a nuisance to North throughout the match

In the second half, North took the pistol round with ease as Emil "Magisk" Reif picked up four kills in quick succession in the balcony. After buying up, Cloud9 were able to break through North's defense twice in a row to restore parity at 10-10.

What followed as a hectic period as the teams cancelled each other out, making it impossible for them to have any sort of economic development. With the score tied at 11-11, North let Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham pick up four kills in a 1v5 situation before finally killing the North American sniper. That turned out to be the key moment of the match as a cash-strapped North lost the following round and had to deal with a hard reset, with Cloud9 going on a fantastic run that only ended when they hit 16 rounds.

Expected, North will now match penta or faze and go 0-2 before they record their first win and then exit the major.

its the freaking 240hz monitors. Keeping 240 frames every second of the game is going to be hard especially around lots of smoke. I suggest all players clock monitors at 144hz.
