HellRaisers qualify for DreamHack Denver

HellRaisers are the first confirmed team for DreamHack Open Denver after beating dignitas 2-0 (16-9 on Inferno, 16-11 on Overpass) in the grand final of the European closed qualifier.

The 16-team qualifier came to an end with two European mixtures facing off in the grand final after teams like LDLC, eXtatus and MK were eliminated in the earlier stages of the tournament.

The grand final kicked off on Inferno, with Christian "⁠loWel⁠" Garcia Antoran's new team securing the Terrorist pistol, but it was HellRaisers who took control of proceedings after winning the following force-buy. Until half-time, Dignitas were only able to win three more rounds.

HellRaisers lost only one map during the closed qualifier

The second half began in the same manner as the first with, dignitas lost another anti-eco after picking up the pistol round. Rounds went back and forth for a while, but in the end HellRaisers ran out 16-9 victors.

Despite losing yet another anti-eco on Overpass, Ricardo "⁠fox⁠" Pacheco and co. got out to a quick 4-1 lead as CTs. HellRaisers would not let their opponents string more rounds together, however, and remained in the driving seat until the end of the half, securing a narrow 8-7 lead.

A team ace in the second pistol opened way for Kyrylo "⁠ANGE1⁠" Karasiow's squad to increase their lead to 11-7, and, although dignitas found a lifeline by winning four rounds on the attacking side, HellRaisers tightened up their defence to lock down the map, 16-11.

At the moment HellRaisers are the only team confirmed for DreamHack Denver, which will run from October 20-22, with the North American closed qualifier due to end later tonight.

It's a much better team, but I hope that IMT keeps one of the twins in the bench over the next major so the 3 unprofessional kids can't take the major legend spot.

thats a LOT of MONTHS! and iz shouldnt be in his/immortals "VALUES" and such to do such a dishonest thing + volvo can be like if ya do that ya must play with him and that player will be a BOT. instead imt should just steel, boltz HOLVTSZZ, +2 and they can prolly still qualify for the major ezpcy. but out in groups either way but still get ya 5man and forget about le twins and shieeet, move on instead of have that shit dragging your org for several months.

It is, but it would be worth it to set an example of the immature kids. Anyone who want esports to grow and be more respected should support such an action as well. It's not dishonest at all, it's fair punishment for being extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to you organization several times. I'm not saying it will let IMT keep their spot, in just saying it will stop the trio from getting it. We will only have 7 legend teams then.
