fnatic and mTw progress

The first day of the Extreme Masters 3 Global Finals is now over, and the two first teams to hit the playoffs has been determined.

mTw is the first team to make it directly through to the playoffs, after losing to SK it did not look as if they would get the 1st place in the group, but as SK lost to mibr in the last round, and mTw managed to defeat MYM they move on as first, while SK take second and MYM third for the relegation matches.

In the other group fnatic went through undefeated, with Alternate finishing second and WeMade Fox finishing third. That leaves the following match ups for tomorrow:

The two winners will make it into the playoffs, facing fnatic and mTw.

they were good in the past too without whimp, but now they improved their game after changing hpx to whimp :) remember that almost everyone said at that moment that hpx is the best awp :)

I mean that they started being the constant top 1 after the change :) whimp is the last part of the puzzle And of course they were good even before whimp. But they got usually 2nd places

Beside the fact that Whimp proved to be a great addition, I do belive that converting Sunde to awp it was the bigest deal for MTW. Nevertheless all players are doing it to their best right now, the team is just outstanding.

sunde is playing amazing, neo is playing terrible, mym waits for farrr too long before rushing in (especially in inferno), American gaming <<<<<<<<<< European gaming, mtw can be defeated, mibr sucks with the new lineup = highlights of today's games. :)

sk picked up their game after 2 games...while mibr finally woke up after 4 games. bringing bit and fnx back wont do them any good - after all the tension and changes, they probably dont have the same game-spirit as they had 2 or 3 years ago. its still hilarious to see the difference in skill between european and american gaming :)

ofc MYM they dont play they A game, but they still get top3 on tournaments, they won eswc, mibr win if im not wrong gamegune, where wasnt any top team and nothing else. sure, mibr can beat mym in group stage or something like that but mym, not mibr scores top positions on events

(if yes, then it must be good shit :P ) loord is playing great, as is taz...im not a fanboy of mym - personally I think they are playing shit, wasting perfect situations, and as someone said, not playing their A game. mibr showed in this tournament their B/C-game, and somehow managed to pull off a win against SK. also, you state mym < mibr, but if i recall correctly, mym and mibr played around 12 games, and I think that only 2 games were won by mibr, and 1 was a tie :)

eg wasnt that much off against euro teams as was to be expected,altough the eg vs x3o game was the most intense game i have seen in awhile .. alternate is back to their former self(chef-koch days) and fnatic is playing good again.tbh favorite here is sk if they dont meet mtw before the grand final,estro-s lineup change was only few days ago wich was to soon to place good here and mym cant play against the dominating teams w.o dominating neo ..

Nice to see fnatic play so good after only 1 week with this lineup! i think they can be the new nr1....will be fun to follow them

I am so glad about this too, especially regarding their second match against Alternate. dsn said in a blog he wanted the re-match badly because they made some stupid mistakes and they showed us it wasn't a lie, they actually are able to stop the almost unstoppbale German team with only 1 week of practice together. but I don't know if they will be able to win against mTw, it really looks like an impossible task, even though SK did, I don't think they could do it a 2nd time... fnatic are better than SK right now but still...
