DreamHack Open Winter viewer's guide

With DreamHack Open Winter set to start on Friday, we have put together a viewer's guide with all the information you need to know about the iconic Swedish event.

From December 1-3, DreamHack will host its final event of the year at the Elmia Convention Center in Jönköping, Sweden, where eight teams will battle it out for their share of the $100,000 prize-pool, with the winner taking home $50,000.

Gambit won last year's edition alongside Zeus and Kane

As is usual in DreamHack Open tournaments, the group stage will consist of a GSL-format, with both the opening and the winners' matches featuring a best-of-one format, while the elimination and deciders will be best-of-three series.

No sk-astralis-faze in the tournament >> a bunch of kids crying "mimi tier3 event, nothing to waaatch". Seriously, there are a lot of decent teams out there, no need to invite the same top 3-4 teams to every tournament, because THAT'S what's actually boring, you feel me
2017-11-29 18:21

but the level of CS is higher if you have SK, FaZe and Astralis playing, they are just a step better than everyone else tier 2 CS is a lot more caotic and there are much more mistakes and sloppy rounds (of course the tier 1 teams can have that too, but less frequently) I just enjoy watching the top teams more

Quit being so damn stupid with your "tier 2 event lul". Just don't watch it and shut up. Great event, by the way. Envyus, gambit and heroic can upset any great team in the world (just like gambit did by winning the major). And I'm looking forward to see new Na'Vi. Good luck for the teams!
