LuL4 steps down from Virtue

Willian "LuL4" Elias has stepped down from Virtue Gaming's roster, the player has announced on Twitter.

The 26-year-old leaves Virtue just a month after his unveiling, explaining that he dealt with packet loss issues in almost every online match that he played for the team.

This is the first roster change for Virtue since Vito "⁠kNgV-⁠" Giuseppe assembled the team, in February, following his release from 100 Thieves.

The news came shortly after Virtue's elimination in South American tournament Liga Profissional Alienware Gamers Club following a 0-2 defeat to FURIA in the quarter-finals.

"Unfortunately, I could not play practically any match without loss, it was really hard to play and that made me lose my motivation," Willian "⁠LuL4⁠" Elias wrote.

"They held on to me for too long. Good luck, guys!"

Virtue have not yet commented on the future of the squad, but HLTV.org knows that an official announcement is imminent. The Brazilian team have secured one of the eight invites to the closed qualifier for the ESL LA League, which will have a spot at the ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals up for grabs.
