ptr and compLexity part ways

After being replaced by Shahzeb 'ShahZaM' Khan in compLexity's lineup, Peter 'ptr' Gurney has now been released from the organisation and joins the free agent pool.

Peter "⁠ptr⁠" Gurney has not been a member of Complexity's starting lineup since April of this year, but it has just now been announced that the player has been released from his contractual obligations with the North American organisation.

ptr is now a free agent

The AWPer's exit puts an end to a nine-month stint in which ptr played mostly online and made an appearance at DreamHack Montreal 2017 as well as at the Americas Minor for the Boston Major, where he and his team placed fourth.

With ptr's exit, Complexity now look as follows:

He's young and full of potential which is why they chose to keep him. Originally they were going to pick up friberg but dephh wanted to keep yayster because he said he felt that his skill ceiling was higher than friberg's skill ceiling.

I am actually really hoping it is, however, it could end up as the coL.Academy team as well. They're really thinking about building a team around s0m so he can grow. Sean is the best IGL to do that. So I don't think Pete would want that.

To be honest as good as Pete is, his stock at the moment isint exactly sky high, he's also 27 so may look at moving into a position to build a team as a veteran as apposed to trying fresh at a new org tying to play it out as usual, as for Som this would be amazing, iv'e watched his streams and he is crazy good, but obviously he needs the right structure behind him to help him get to where his skill would allow, I see good things coming from ezmoney crew in the future.

The most underrated AWP in the game. Amazing attitude, dedicated, winner’s mentality, and can frag out with the best of them. Unfortunately, he hasn’t had a real team around him since CLG that can let him be him. It sucks that he isn’t good at the politics in the NA scene. Major downgrade for complexity. He would be lethal on any real contending team. GL to everyone if he gets a real chance. Edit: maybe torque should cut that terrible Chinese guy and finally upgrade ezmoney
