Heroic secure DreamHack Open Valencia invite

HEROIC have earned the first invite to DreamHack Open Valencia, the event's organisers have revealed.

The Nordic side are the fourth team confirmed for the event, joining Fragsters, Luminosity and Giants, the leading teams of the online qualifiers.

Currently ranked 21st in the world, HEROIC were last seen in action in the closed qualifier for the Europe Minor, cutting a frustrating figure as they went out 0-3 following defeats to Nordavind, EURONICS and Epsilon.

According to DreamHack, HEROIC will attend the event with Asger "⁠AcilioN⁠" Larsen, who has been filling in for the team since Ruben "⁠RUBINO⁠" Villarroel decided to take another break from gaming because of a persistent eye infection.

DreamHack Open Valencia will run from July 12-14 at Feria Valencia. With HEROIC's announcement, there are now just four invites left to announce for the $100,000 tournament.
