compLexity release CS team

HLTV.org understands that compLexity have undergone drastic changes to their Counter-Strike team.

The former JaX Money Crew team signed for compLexity in January but have failed to impress following a number of lacklustre showings.

compLexity currently occupy ninth place in the ESEA league and the management has reportedly grown increasingly tired of the team's failure to land silverware.

Every player except David "zid" Chin has been shown the door just four months after their arrival.

While Sal "Volcano" Garozzo has indicated that he plans to take a break from gaming after finding a full-time job, the future of the remaining players seems to be subject to conjecture.

*UPDATE* compLexity have announced the release of the entire Counter-Strike team, who contained the following members:

Justin "sunman" Summy
Mike "method" So
David "zid" Chin
Sal "Volcano" Garozzo
Erik "da_bears" Stromberg

That lineup is horrid. The COL name deserves better. Congrats on being a mid tier NA CS team and having no chace of competing on the international level.

Perhaps MIRAAA is friends with JaX himself or some of the old iDemise folks. coL themselves don't even have this story yet on their page. I wouldn't take it as 100% truth until you see it from the horse's mouth (coL themselves)

Very strange. Volcano is a top 5 American player. Zid is decent, and I think this roster is now better, as iDemise was a solid team. I think with some practice they are def a top 3 American team at least.

This is gonna be a real setback I think, method, sunman, rambo gone... only zid and steno that I think would make a good team. The other guys I don`t rly know anything about.

Why don't these organizations ever scope out fresh talent instead of going to players who have already had their numerous chances? North America has one of the biggest populations in the CS gaming community (the most players), yet they keep trying to pick up known names. Why not scope out some new, fresh, hungry talent?

I presume that there might be better players but I think they just searched a group of players of the same team (less time to get along together) and see if that works out adding their own player. The same way, I think it is easier to gather less known or medium players around the name (results are a different issue) of coL than better known or high skill players. Bare in mind too that Vulcano announced his break in a forum thread and not through an official statement at the coL site. Something might smell rotten in "the complex world" ;)

Very true. This whole thing seems extremely fishy. But, from an organization's point of view, it makes no sense to waste money and time on a group of players who already had their shot and missed when there is an ABUNDANCE of talent in North America.

Sirk, he just picked up a false source, that's all. If you wanna bring swift news to the community you can't hesitate. He noticed that it wasn't true and gave us an update. Nothing to cry about :) So calm down. No other site that I've checked haven't even mentioned that coL.cs is no more. I can tell you a site that does this allmost all the time: rakaka.se(yeah it's swedish) But they change their news when they find out more.

Except that in a real journalistic environment, you get in a lot of trouble for not verifying sources or presenting bad information on the part of your organization. This is something learned on the job, or if you've ever majored in journalism at university.

Empty criticism? Would you prefer I give arguments to why I think whatever it is I think about MIRAA? Would a long, drawn-out post make you feel better about it? Or would I just instantly get labeled as some nolifer or loser who has too much time to spare because I put some thought into what I write? Or maybe it's not that! No, I don't think HLTV is run like that. Or rather, I didn't think it was. I love HLTV, just not a fan of MIRAA. And until comments started being deleted, I never thought HLTV was that kind of place. So, I'll give you constructive criticism from now on. I just hope you can realize that that's what it is.

Any comments calling a HLTV.org staff member an idiot / moron, or calling for him to be sacked will of course be deleted. Nothing has changed with regards to news, there were mistakes before MIRAA and there will be mistakes after. That some of you have some personal grudge against MIRAA is of little interest to me, you can take that in a personal message on IRC, not in our forums.
