MIBR release boltz

MIBR have announced that they have parted ways with Ricardo "⁠boltz⁠" Prass with immediate effect.

The 21-year-old ends his long association with MIBR owner Immortals, who signed the player in the summer of 2016 as part of their purchase of Tempo Storm’s CS:GO roster.

During his time under the North American organisation, boltz most notably helped Immortals' previous line-up to a final appearance at PGL Major Krakow 2017. That incredible run was not enough to keep the team together, though, and boltz found himself loaned out to SK Gaming, whom he helped to first-place finishes at EPICENTER, BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen and ESL Pro League Season 6 Finals to earn his first-ever appearance in HLTV’s top 20 of the year list.

boltz is now free to decide his future

In June, he returned to Immortals as the North American organisation signed the rest of SK’s roster, but stepped down from MIBR after just one event to make way for Tarik "⁠tarik⁠" Celik.

With boltz no longer contracted to Immortals, it remains unclear who will be MIBR’s fifth player at BLAST Pro Series Lisbon as Fernando "⁠fer⁠" Alvarenga will not be able to travel to the Portuguese capital due to a surgery scheduled for December 14.

"We want to sincerely thank boltz for his long tenure under the Immortals banner and helping us relaunch the iconic MIBR brand this past summer." Immortals' GM of CS:GO, Tomi "⁠lurppis⁠" Kovanen, said in a statement.

"MIBR and Immortals wish boltz the best as he moves forward in his career."
