Kinguin to join Black Devils

Kinguin will join the ranks of Black Devils as the team look to continue their journey away from the digital marketplace company, it has been announced.

The new organisation will officially launch in mid-February with three esports teams, Kinguin's CS:GO and Fortnite rosters, and EPC's League of Legends squad.

Until then, Black Devils have set up a temporary website explaining the organisation's vision and listing their 13 core values, with more details to come after the formal launch.

Kinguin will move over to Black Devils in mid-February

HLTV.org knows that Kinguin captain Wiktor "⁠TaZ⁠" Wojtas and team coach Mariusz "⁠Loord⁠" Cybulski are among Black Devils' shareholders, with Maciej "Sawik" Sawicki, a renowned esports journalist in Poland, being at the helm of the project.

"Time for a new phase in the evolution of our esports team," Kinguin CEO Viktor Wanli told HLTV.org. "One of the main reasons we kept the name Team Kinguin (besides the obvious one to promote the brand) was to have our Kinguin organization infrastructure to stand united behind it and support it.

"We have fulfilled this goal and the team achieved successes beyond our imagination. Big thanks and applause here to Giovanni Varriale and his dedicated team!

"Now it’s the time for the new, CEO Maciek Sawicki,Wiktor Wojtas, Mariusz "Loord" Cybulski, Szymon Hrabia Kubiak, Marek Spad?o, Filip M?towski, Wiki Wójcik, Tomasz Molendowicz and Janusz Kubski to take this organization to an even brighter future, one in which the organisation will be among the top ten worldwide.

The announcement comes at a time when Kinguin have just four permanent players in their starting line-up after benching Paweł "⁠reatz⁠" Jańczak. Paweł "⁠dycha⁠" Dycha, formerly of Invizy, is currently trialling with the team, who sit at No.33 in the world ranking.

Kinguin are through to the Group B's decider match in the $50,000 WePlay! Lock and Load online tournament, in which they will face the loser of the match between pro100 and Virtus.pro.
