mTw have announced they have secured the services of Mirror.p00nhandlers ace Martin "trace" Heldt.

There had been rumours flying around concerning impending roster changes at mTw after they were forced to use Marcus "zet" Sundström as a stand-in for Jonas "whiMp" Svendsen at SLAP online cup.

mTw announced this afternoon on their official website that Svendsen is no longer on the team. HLTV.org understands that the ex-SK.dk player has decided to retire from gaming after growing tired of the game.

To fill Svendsen's shoes, mTw have decided to bring in Martin "trace" Heldt, who had been at Mirror.p00nhandlers since their return to activity early in August.

This is the first roster change at mTw since February 2008, when Brian "hpx" Christensen made room for Svendsen. During his year-and-a-half stay at the German-based organisation, Svendsen helped the team win KODE5 and WCG, both in 2008, among other titles.

mTw, who will miss out on Global Challenge Chengdu, have now the following line-up:

Christoffer "Sunde" Sunde
Danny "zonic" Sørensen
Muhammed "mJe" Eid
Alexander "ave" Holdt
Martin "trace" Heldt

hmmm will be interesting trace is a great player, but i think whimp is the key to success as soon as he joined the mtw squad they started doing really well and he won his first world at 15? no1 has accomplished what whimp has gl whimp, trace & mtw

It might come as a shocker to many, but travelling with the team gave me the impression earlier this year, that a lineup change was coming. Jonas is a great person, both inside and outside of the game, something I will truly miss. He played for top teams at a early age, winning close to all events you could ever dream of. I think mTw found the right replacement, in terms of the position in the team. Martin is a different person than Jonas, but I have no doubt he will fill the spot just fine.

SLAP LIVE is not till October, they played a online qualifier for an event named Komplett Gamer Challenge, where zet played standin.

Was the decision of getting whimp out of mTw his own ( for personal reason quiting cs ?), or his teammates let him out? This year was not a perfect one for mTw, but i dont think there was any lack of motivation or lack of skill, as they top both. And therefore no reason of kicking whimp, he is such a good player.

it was not a doubt about how many of them were talented... it was a doubt because all of denmarks good players are only playing loocal or clanbase against other teams that are not so great so i have a hard time seeing how they would compete on a great cpl level

I don't think anyone said that zonic and MJE for example would be any good when they hadn't got the chance to play for a supported team?:) People probably said back then that when whoever was famous when they weren't retired, the Danish CS scene would crash. But no. :)

Amazing players have quit and 1.6 is still very much alive. Bare in mind too that even if players stop playing at a competitive level most if not all still do scrims because they still love the game.

I think that tracE is one of the best aimers in Denmark, so mTw didn't lose anything at "chapter" skill, but maybe at chemistry. Anyway i do think that mTw are now stronger than before. It's something like GTR in fnatic...

how did noone else think of this in all these threads? hes a great player with good english, he said hes willing to pull a lurppis when he left and that he is open to any offers. they could keep sean as a coach / igl even, trace would fit well i think.
