face & kHRYSTAL close on SK switch

SK Gaming have confirmed they are close to signing H2k-Gaming's Johan "face" Klasson and Frej "kHRYSTAL" Sjöström.

The Swedish pair had been strongly linked with a move to SK Gaming for the past weeks, with HLTV.org reporting on Friday that Sjöström had left H2k's international ESL account.

SK have now confirmed on their official website that Klasson and Sjöström have joined the team for tonight's Extreme Masters qualifier, with a view to a permanent move.

According to SK Managing Director, Andreas "bds" Thorstensson, both teams have been locked in talks for the past weeks regarding a transfer, and he is hopeful a solution to the problem will soon be found.

"Over the last couple of weeks the legal department of SK has been negotiating with the lawyers of H2K and we have come up with an agreement that satisfies all parties," Thorstensson told the team's website.
"face and khrystal are pure talents and fit perfectly into the formation with allen, robban and walle. I have really big hopes for this lineup, and with the right dedication and motivation they will go very far."

SK will have their official debut with the new line-up tonight, against Glitz!, after which they will fly to Chengdu to compete in the Global Challenge.

SK's Counter-Strike roster stands as follows:

Their behavior is fine, they explained their mistakes and demanded pardon to zneel (for example) and honestly, their move was something EVERY TEAM would've done. fnatic had to sign Gux and GeT_RiGhT when they were on other teams also... SK still has a lot of fans (like me), who had lost their hope to see them shine again, but now, with that move, I'll be thrilled to see them play again. Get a clue my friend, there is still a lot of people who like SK.

Yes but fnatic is a far better managed company and their cs team is more stable (and obviously stronger) than SK too. They made what, 3 changes in 3 years, and still managed to remain on top at nearly every event? Well, I may be biased since I've always disliked SK and its management since the first time I saw them play in early 2003. I have always preferred and supported the other SWE teams (NiP, Team9, Adrenaline, spiXel, Begrip, fnatic etc...).

RobbaN awps occasionally and walle now prefers rifles to awp. kHRYSTAL is a pure awper and will probably replace the function RobbaN had at A on de_dust2 for example, awping the cat walk. walle will be able to concentrate more on strating with RobbaN and actually getting something done, instead of having to peek perfectly with his awp shots while doing the strat part at the same time. Not to mention, kHRYSTAL has a calmness I have never seen. He will become the main awper of the team and RobbaN and walle will use it when needs be.

I think SK will make a strong comeback considering the current lineup, the recent period of negative results and the motivation (which must be very strong) to redeem themselves. Allen, Robban and Walle knows their heads are the next ones to roll if the team doesn't perform. With this in aspect I think they currently practising extremly much and will produce good results in the upcoming events.

I'm happy for face and kHRYSTAL that they found a home. I'm just sad for the H2k organization for having its CS team plundered by a larger organiztaion. That must really suck...
