Electronic Sports League has announced information regarding the local qualifier, taking place prior to Global Challenge Dubai.
The Global Challenge for Counter-Strike 1.6 will be 20-22th of October, prior to that; local qualifier for the tournament will take place. The local qualifier has been split in two, taking place 17th and 18th of October. Each day will feature a maximum of four teams, playing single elimination best-of-one map.
The local qualifier is also open for foreign teams, meaning the opportunity for teams outside of the United Arab Emirates will be able to participate. Two teams will qualify in for Global Challenge Dubai, one will be found each day, of the two qualification days.
If teams would like to apply, then they should fill out the form for the tournament (find it here), and mail it to [email protected], including their latest achievements. Any missing information will be counted as a invalid form, and the form will not be accepted.
Last year we saw five local teams qualify for the Global Challenge, this year it has been limited to two, and it might be foreign teams who snatch the qualification spot, that is if anyone consider going to play the local qualifier.
