DEVIL, Python leave Heretics

The French youngster is "more motivated than ever" to continue his career elsewhere, while the future of the tenured in-game leader hangs in the balance.

Jordan "⁠Python⁠" Munck-Foehrle has parted ways with Heretics after a turbulent two months with the Spanish organisation in order to pursue new opportunities in 2021, the player has revealed. Also taking their leave are Timothée "⁠DEVIL⁠" Démolon and Boris "⁠flex0r⁠" Latry, who were brought in only last month as the team’s new in-game leader and coach in hopes of steering the French side in a winning direction.

The 19-year-old joined up with Bryan "⁠Maka⁠" Canda, Alexandre "⁠xms⁠" Forté, Lucas "⁠Lucky⁠" Chastang and Fabien "⁠kioShiMa⁠" Fiey in October as a replacement for the Vitality-bound Nabil "⁠Nivera⁠" Benrlitom, but after "various problems in the game and outside", which led to a downturn in results, the team began to split apart, with Maka and xms departing the roster.

DEVIL and Python are out of Heretics

Python continued under the leadership of DEVIL and the team took part in events with numerous stand-ins. However, after uninspiring finishes in Nine to Five 6 (16th-18th), European Development Championship 1 (13th-16th) and MIDNITE Nine to Five 7 (13th-15th), Heretics re-evaluated the future of the team, which resulted in the release of the two players.

In an extensive Twitlonger, DEVIL went into detail describing the immediate issues he inherited when joining the roster and the struggles he and coach flex0r had to resolve. "I had to do more management than CS:GO," the in-game leader said. "There are always 80% non-game issues in our French teams and the changes are never the right ones". The 26-year-old elaborated by explaining his experience in the French scene and even alluded to the possibility of retirement.

When contacted by HLTV.org, Heretics stated that Lucky and kioShiMa are the only remaining players still contracted to the organisation, although the former is allowed to explore his options for 2021.

alright so why did s0m never put up results? He was supposed to be this next upcoming NA Star but never proved it. In all of 2020 why did koosta best ratings come from Flashpoint 2. His best results at a high tier came from 2018 on Ghost. daps rating is just so low and if he is such an important asset to the team you need better talent than just bntet and auti to put up numbers to make up for it. bntet and auti have been the only signs of life from the team. Im not delusional I'm just logical.

well, s0m did put up results, BEFORE he starts playing shitty valorant. After he starts valorant, his skill even drop to faceit lv 8 player. well, given the role koosta in, I think he did pretty well and consistent, like never judge a player only by the rating I guess (?) daps is dipshit and I agree with u. in T side, we can use daps for entry bait. But in CT side, he hardly multifrags and it feels like playing 4 vs 5 in CT. and anyway if u didnt know, since online, daps play with around 90-100ms ping if im not wrong.

Im well aware of their roles. s0m and koosta would have been fine if daps had half respectable results. They needed someone besides auti and bntet to put up some sort of fragging and neither could deliver to counteract daps results. Daps is an amazing IGL but Gen.G did not have the ability to keep him as their IGL.

Mb DavidP is out in January after 2-3 years of IGL, February-march it was Maka but he said he was struggling IGLing and having impact as AWPer so Lucky took it around March /April.

No it was their coach cheating which fucked them the most. Also Apex said before Nivera joined that other palyers on heretics didnt focus on CS that much. That nivera was the only guy who played cs 10+ hours each day and his teammates were playing other games after practice.

Well the french scene has always been like that, people don't want you to the top, they play between eachother and never give anyone a chance. There are only a few of them willing to develop players with potential and that's why we're left with only a handful of players... Once they are or were on the top the big egos are surfacing and you can barely work with them. Vitality are lucky to have XTQZZZ to manage that and he kicked NBK for that reason. The french scene is just killing itself by recycling same players. I thought kio & Lucky wouldn't be such assholes but well... DEVIL used to be a fucking dickhead too thinking he had nothing to learn for anyone, I'm glad he changed his attitude, but yeah he's not the only one who has to do that. Big respect for flex0r who's actually trying to develop young players, but they won't be able to climb further if this "tier1/tier2" players' bubble doesn't break at some point. GL DEVIL, Maka, Pyth0n & KyojiN

lmao i played in esea open against python like 2 years ago and we lost the match closely. I had light yagami pic and he had L. We were joking about that and battle between us. I got 33 frags most in my team and he got 35. He said before match that evils always lose or smth. I said I will use my death note so i cant lose :D:D damn and now he is here and im not. life is strange.
