WEM 2009 groups drawn

The groups for World Esports Masters 2009 have been drawn and we now know what sort of competition we have ahead of us.

The event will officially start on Saturday the 12th of December, with three matches on the menu. Eight teams will be participating in the tournament, taking place in the city of Hangzhou, China. The teams have been split into two groups of four teams, where top two will advance to the playoffs. The groups for World Esports Masters 2009 are as follows:

AGAiN, fnatic and Power Gaming will all be using one stand-in for the event, while remaning five teams will play with their regular lineup. Below you will find the entire schedule, including maps for the matches.

There is a total prize purse of $46,000 at the event, where first place will pocked $22,500. HLTV.org will be in China to bring you all of the action from World Esports Masters 2009.

Nice prizes but 1 week it's too long!!! One match a day when in other tournaments they are playing 5 a day or more :] They will be bored for death IMO!!!

It will be very hard for again to pick mym on nuke with a standin even though it's pasha imo. PS. wmf will probably pick up fnatic on dust, going to be interesting cup
