HONORIS cease operations
Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas cited a lack of sufficient financial resources as the reason for the folding of the organization.
HONORIS have announced that their organization is ending its activities. The project, created in 2020 by Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas and Filip "NEO" Kubski, recently hit its peak ranking of No. 43 in the world.
TaZ and NEO founded HONORIS in 2020 after both players had struggled to find a long-term home after the break up of the famous Polish Virtus.pro roster. In a statement released at the time TaZ stated "I still feel hungry for fighting and winning," whilst adding "I wanted to do it fully on my own terms, on my own responsibility and with my own long-term vision."

During its time HONORIS hosted a plethora of Polish players under its banner, with Kamil "reiko" Cegiełko and TaZ being the only two players to serve on the active lineup for the team’s entire lifespan. HONORIS cemented itself as a solid tier two squad, winning ESEA Cash Cups and reaching the finals of the ESL Polish Championship multiple times, but struggled to kick on beyond that and qualify regularly for high-caliber LAN play.
The most significant LAN event the team attended was the recent CCT Central Europe Malta Finals, where the Poles finished joint-last place.
"We hope that we have effectively shared our experience and helped develop the talents of several young players whose careers are now open," NEO said in a statement. "We have also shown that it is possible to build an organization operating on the principles of fair play - both publicly and internally."
When discussing the reasons behind the organization closing its doors, TaZ referenced the fact he and NEO have been supporting the team from their own pockets, stating "for three years, we've been holding it together financially. In HONORIS, no coconuts were earned, but the players and associates always received their salaries on time and could count on the organization's support."
He concluded by saying "facing the lack of sufficient financial resources for the coming years, together we decided to end HONORIS' activities in the current formula."
The statement also revealed that at the end of March 2023 the players and coach would become free agents, allowing them to sign for new teams. It concluded by saying that TaZ and NEO "will inform you individually about their further plans."
HONORIS' most recent roster was:
Kamil "reiko" Cegiełko
Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas
Dawid "SaMey" Stańczak
Kamil "Sobol" Sobolewski
Dawid "lunAtic" Cieślak
Vincent "vinS" Jozefiak - coach
Filip "NEO" Kubski - substitute
