Immunity capture SQL trio
Team Immunity have revamped their Counter-Strike team with the addition of three players with ties to Sequential Gaming.
The Australian giants announced in September the return of veteran Alexander "steel" Panov to the team, but their roster still fell short at the local WCG qualifier, watching SQL win the berth to Chengdu.
With Mark "deStiny" Kagan and Trong "Snoopy" Cheung both departing Immunity for mousegazm ahead of the New Year, the team have decided to open up one more room in the team by parting company with Panov.
To fill these positions, Immunity have landed Sequential Gaming duo Mike "Apoc" Aliferis and Otis "pupajoN" Duncan, both of whom were at the WCG Finals in November, as well as Miles "rizE" O'Connor, who played for SQL in 2007.
"With ferg and I alongside the famous TRIO of apoc pupajon and rizE I believe within the pair and the trio we can form a great alliance of players," Gareth "gazR" Lynn told dicevip.com. "Understanding that the competition is not far away from us now, I still believe that this superteam can knock down any wall in our way when we gather the momentum and confidence needed."
Immunity will have their debut with the new line-up at the Extreme Masters Asia Finals in Taipei from February 5-9, where they will present:
Gareth "gazR" Lynn
Fergus "ferg" Stephenson
Mike "Apoc" Aliferis
Otis "pupajoN" Duncan
Miles "rizE" O'Connor
