New EPS Scandinavia on the horizon?

Swedish news-portal rakaka understands that a new season of ESL Pro Series Scandinavia may be on the horizon.

Scandinavia have been longing for a league that would house the best teams in the Nordic region. Ever since the end of the first ESL Pro Series Scandinavia season last year in April, the giants of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden had no place to compte for who would be the kings of Scandinavia.

This may however stop right here, at least if the rumors on rakaka stay true. The rumor-central believe they have recieved intel, that a new ESL Pro Series in Scandinavia will come soon. It is reported, that a Amateur Series (EAS) will be added aswell, and that total prize purse should be somewhere near €9,800.

Nothing has been confirmed by Electronic Sports League yet, but should this come true, then it will something that will be pleased in many esport-minds.

ROFL It's EPS Scandinavia. Scandinavia is a region in northern Europe that includes Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. Finland is often considered a Scandinavian country in common English usage, and Iceland and the Faroe Islands are sometimes also included

I wouldnt count on seeing any Icelandic teams compete in this, the connection to europe is limited so we lag too much.

i'd say it's really needed for the long term. well, the swedes dont need it but it's defo needed for at least norway and finland who dont got especially many serious competitions, which is particulary why they are so far behind at this point.

oh ok didn't know about that. In my mind i thought that the more people watch the matches, the more esl earns money from the sponsors, I didn't think about the thing about the premium accounts
