Complexity came back from an upset loss in the opening round of the NA closed qualifier to lock in their place in Sydney.

Complexity will be the only North American representative in Sydney

Complexity are the final team to qualify for IEM Sydney following their victory in the North American closed qualifier.

Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski and company got off on the wrong foot with a loss to Peter "⁠stanislaw⁠" Jarguz's Forsaken but went on an undefeated run through the lower bracket to lock down the single spot on offer in Sydney, beating Nouns, Forsaken in a landslide rematch, and M80.

The North American squad rounds out IEM Sydney's 16-team participants' list, which boasts four of the current top five teams and eight of the top 10 in the HLTV ranking.

The event will take place from October 16-22 and feature a $250,000 prize pool. The playoffs will be held at a sold-out Aware Super Theatre on the last three days of the competition.

I was beginning to worry that it was going to be forsaken or m80 going to iem Sidney. That would have been a sad day for NA. Complexity are not playing the best cs right now, but they are literally all we got when it comes to teams that stand a chance at winning any games at all
