ESWC announces Brazil qualifier
According to TeamPlay.com.br, the Electronic Sports World Cup has announced that Brazil will stage a qualifier for this year's World Finals.
The Brazilian ESWC qualifier will take place some time in June at the o2 LAN House in Sao Paulo, with six different tournaments on show: CS 1.6 for male and female teams, FIFA 2010, Guitar Hero 5, Street Fighter IV and TrackMania Nations.
It has also been announced that a total of 13 different regions across Brazil will hold pre-qualifiers.
The 2010 ESWC World Finals will run from June 30 through to July 4 at Disneyland Park in Paris, with $63,000 to be handed out to male Counter-Strike teams.
Though the tournament will kick off in just four months' time, not many qualifiers have been announced, but it is believed that more national stops will be announced in the coming weeks.
