ESL hit by DDoS attack

According to the Electronic Sports League, the reason behind the network problems seems to be a denial-of-service attack.

On the ESL TV's Facebook website, a message containing "ddos attack -.- sry guys" has been posted, which indicates an attack directed at their DNS has been made.

The mTw-Frag eXecutors and fnatic-Evil Geniuses matches are currently paused after network problems caused both Scandinavian teams to freeze half way through a round.

This is the not the first time the ESL has been bit by a DDoS attack during a tournament. The ESL is currently trying to fix the problems in order to resume both matches.

is an attempt to make a computer resource unavailable to its intended users. Although the means to carry out, motives for, and targets of a DoS attack may vary, it generally consists of the concerted efforts of a person or people to prevent an Internet site or service from functioning efficiently or at all, temporarily or indefinitely.

I bet the reason for attacks is that ESL prodcasts matches and doesn't let HLTV.org to show plays. It's someones order if that kind messeges appear.
