CPH Games prize distribution changed

The organization behind Copenhagen Games has announced it will change the prize distribution for Counter-Strike 1.6.

Last month it was announced that the prize distribution for Copenhagen Games would be a bit untraditional for the Counter-Strike 1.6 community, as the organizers had chosen to add bonuses for victories in the knock-out stages.

Due to great number of complaints regarding the distribution of prizes, Copenhagen Games have decided to make some significant changes to the Counter-Strike tournaments prize distribution. This means there is no longer bonuses for victories in the knock-out stages, but just prizes for top six. The new prize distribution for the Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament looks as follows:

1. €3,360
2. €1,613
3. €940
4. €400
5. €269
6. €134

The total prize purse has not changed as it is still €6,716. Copenhagen Games will kick off 1-3 April in Copenhagen, Denmark. More info about Copenhagen Games can be found on the official website.

But the prize purse will be reduced, if the number of teams attending aren't increasing. :)
