More TYLOO changes: kaze out

The Malaysian AWPer follows advent and aumaN out of the door after several chaotic months at TYLOO.

Andrew "kaze" Khong is the next player to depart TYLOO, the organization has announced on Twitter. The 29-year-old leaves after a seven-month spell with the team.

The Chinese side previously parted ways with long-time in-game leader Zhuo "advent" Liang and benched player ZhiHong "aumaN" Liu on Thursday.

TYLOO part ways with advent and aumaN

There seems to be no end in sight for the changes in TYLOO, who used countless different lineups involving eight different players in the past few months.

At IEM Chengdu they even turned up with a six-man roster with a possibility to change players between matches. In the end, they didn't do so and used the same roster, involving kaze and advent, in their ESL Pro League Season 19 campaign as well.

Both international outings turned out unsuccessful, as TYLOO went out in last place at IEM Chengdu and in 21st-28th place in Malta with their losses ranging from some of the world's best teams like MOUZ and G2 to their local rivals, Lynn Vision.

The team's future is now up in the air, and with the two eldest and most experienced players out, they remain with the following core of their last lineup and several players in reserve:

China Yi "JamYoung" Yang
China Jingxiang "Mercury" Wang
China Dongrui "zdr" Zhang

China Xielin "k4Mi" Zhu (coach)

China LiYang "lyrics3" Jiang (benched)
China Qianhao "Moseyuh" Chen (benched)
China Shengjun "aristo" Jin (benched)
China Zhenghao "DANK1NG" Lv (benched)
Hong Kong WingHei "Freeman" Cheung (benched)

That's actually so fucked. Imagine getting a dream move to the biggest cs org in China (I think) just for them to not even try you, and you sit on the bench probably waiting out a long contract.

He did play matches with them online in asia. They played with a roster of lyrics, Mercury, JamYoung, zdr and advent. The problem was that lyrics couldn't IGL because advent was still playing. Lyrics got tired of advents stupid way of leading the team and basically benched himself. But you are still right. He never got a proper chance to lead the young team he was originally promised. (Moseyuh, zdr, Mercury, JamYoung)

All in all advent wasn't the worst igl. Of course he should be out of the roster like 2 years ago, moseyuh should never be benched (and was because of advent i guess and strange bonds within the team) But i feel like every roster change after mercury, moseyuh to this point were terrible. zdr is slowly proving himself but I don't know if he will ever be a player of this caliber same with lyrcis

I commented below so I won't fill it up here again but spot on with their HORRENDOUS roster decisions. Not even a thought about what they were trying to do or accomplish. Even though Moseyuh should have never been benched the fact they didn't go after someone for the 3 months to actually replace him was wild. Sticking with Auman for that long + cs2 really hurt them as I feel like that's when Kaze started falling off.

jamyoung has been played with advent for such a long time (since ViCi Gaming, which is even before Rare Atom) and I believe advent must taught him how to be a proper IGL. Besides jamyoung's playstyle is more like ropz in my opinion, though he might not be able to lurk anymore when become igl.

What a absolute disaster for the chinese scene. No wonder they suck at FPS and are better at MOBA. U might aswell transfer them all to some t3 chineste team in LoL and they might do better together. This reshuffling shit is a disgrace, atleast mongolz can put their shit together

the best mongolian roster has been unstable for a long time before mid 2023. players like Annihilation, bart4k, and even kabal, nin9, sk0R has been shuffled in and out their roster. I dont think reshuffle is a bad thing. it is clear that this tyloo roster (inherited from 5yclone, RA & ViCi) are getting weaker in competition for long (since Rio 2022 i believe) - then why not consider a change? though the move before this roster (the international one) is a complete joke tbh

Their roster changes make no sense though. I think that's part of the issue. From a non-insider their big issue was that Kaze started falling off and with Advents lack of, even average, fire power it really made the young guys have to perform every game. I guess prior to cs2 coming out Kaze had really been playing some good CS and was helping make up for Advent's lack of impact stat wise. You also have the whole Auman fill-in/replace Moseyuh when he got put into a substitute role. It made no sense when talking about their goals for the present and future for where the team was at and trying to get to. Then after 3 months they decide to not only bring back Moseyuh but get rid of the three veteran players... all at once. Advent, Kaze, and Auman.. although he should have never stayed on the starting roster for that long. Finally like 2 weeks after all that happens Moseyuh is back on the bench with lyrics joining him just so they can bring BACK both Advent and Kaze. But no... it wasn't even final. Now we are saying bye to all 3 of the veterans as they are off the team. Im all for changing rosters but this is just nonsense. The proper roster move originally (from a outsider perspective with no knowledge of their chemistry) would have been to either get rid of Advent and gamble with a new caller or get rid of Kaze and gamble on an up and coming awper or gamble by getting another solid mechanical rifler and go no awp. Like what are they even trying to go for with these moves and who is overseeing this teams roster decisions? I wonder if Advent originally had some say or if it's completely from above. Just sad considering the young talent they had/have that have kind of stagnated in terms of individual progression.

I think maybe it's just because some of the rumors that only spread among Chinese media and streamers are not brought to light. If we compare the roster change today to the time when Tyloo just took over 5yclone, the only change is just -advent -kaze +jee +zdr/starry (still in rumor). If we see the lineup from this perspective, the only risk Tyloo is taking is that they abandoned all the veteran players but still keep jamyoung, moseyuh, mercury as a less-experienced & younger core. All the changes in the lineup in the meantime seem to be temporary expedients to me including zdr, lyrics, auman, etc. these changes really seems to be chaotic, but they happened for a reason. when moseyuh set to substitute: It is romored that moseyuh is getting tired of advent's rigid IGL style and seeking new opportunities - it is even said that moseyuh once got in touched with BLEED - disloyalty to the team led to his substitution. when auman stand-in: i believe he is just a temporary subsitiute for his plug-and-play compatibility with advent (they have been teammates since 2016). soon Tyloo faced failure in their RMR and the problem of lack of firepower has shown due to 3 veteran players in their lineup - this led to tyloo's attempt on lyrics3 and zdr. lyrics3 and zdr are scouted from platform like faceit in China by advent as he scouted jamyoung, mercury & moseyuh. The lineup was supposed to be j&m&m with zdr and lyrics that time - from this time advent is claimed to retire someday and about to hand over IGL to lyrics (both igl & main awper). But plans cannot catch up with changes - lyrics had some conflicts with advent on his trial so he cannot even get a real chance to a professional play. At the same time, IEM Chengdu is about to be held, so advent has to be in the lineup both to train zdr & perform his last dance. Soon after IEM Chengdu, the plan of a younger roster was put on the agenda. We still dont know the final roster, but it can confirm that these roster change back to mid 2023 are just an unfinished project as a response to their many failures attempted to become asia #1 back to 5yclone & Rare Atom, simple like that.
