Skillz.lv understands that phasmatis might call it quits when Summer closes in, as two of their members will leave to work abroad.

Phasmatis, who recently placed first at the Riga eSports Festival, have announced that their future is uncertain the upcoming months. Valdemar "CIKIST" Romanovskij and Giedrius "psich" Petkelis will be leaving their home country and start working abroad, in Italy and the United States.

The three remaining players have said that they will continue playing until the Summer, but whether they will call it quits or create a new team is unknown. Richardas "Veeker" Vismantas has also pointed out that the lack of sponsors and tournaments have been a movitation-killer.

For now, phasmatis have:

Valdemar "CIKIST" Romanovskij
Giedrius "psich" Petkelis
Richardas "Veeker" Vismantas
Vadim "dARKIe" Lapin
Arunas "tx" Vaičelis

That's pretty sad, i kinda liked them

" that sucks :( I envy players that live in scandinavia and west europe, where cs is more prestigious than other places, talented players living in remote places never gets a chance develop to their fullest :(

Yeah it really sux :(. phasmatis won Rigas eSports festival , they won 2000 $ and some hardware. CIKIST and psich are going to work this summer , so they can't play. But there is a new team name'd LCSL.eSTARS ( shame , kestylo , phano , veeker , darkIe ) Lets hope they can make some damage :) Dunno what tx will do , but goodluck to all :P

Anyway you got now two strong teams, but i think they will be on iGO level, when they can lose them 50/50% not like against phasmatis 80-20% ^_^

-1 lcsl is only talented clan from this choise,tbh and n0u and synck aren't top 32-name me first 32 teams that can compete on lan level. synck is inactive and nou doesn't have motivation,like half the clans in Baltics However i see many talented players.Were impressed with SWE vs LTU's game.

No money, no honey. Just to imagine if other countries would get such sponsorship as the Swedes. There would definately be more competitive play from other countries. It would be a dream come true if Lithuanians would get a sponsorship just to go to tournaments, but now they have to pay for the trips themselves, just like the players from Latvia, Estonia and many many other countries.

the scene in baltic is dead anyways , its even more dead since theres no WCG, so now theres no point of playing at all.

We've got some good teams in Baltic, but we can't improve because of the sponsorship. If Baltic teams won't play in tournaments abroad they won't improve and won't reach level like in Scandinavia. I remember when few months ago Games4u decided to support phasmatis. Phasmatis didn't play a lot before support, but when they get that support they trained a lot. They won ASUS Baltic Qual. easily. They trained all night and then had showmatch for organization. Organization said that they play really NICE, but they DIDN'T GIVE MONEY for Asus, so phasmatis didn't attend...

phasmatis as example. Good team, but can play just in Baltic. So why then play this game, if you're good, but you can't go abroad?

What da fuck are you all talking about? You will never make your living as a cs player! face the fact. Cs is just a hobby, it will stay popular for many years but it will not become so popular that top teams will earn millions of dollars...

Yea but imagine that how many countries you do visit abroad if you get the sponsorship, check any top players profiles, how many countries they actually went to, that's insane.. also you meet new people, life is more interesting:)

i think LCSL Line Up won't work up very well , although kestylo is defenatly one of the greatest players of Lithuania in all times he will not be very active but that's only my opinion , and yes tx is a very great loss , still i wish them luck !
