Johnny "JT" Theodosiou's side showed none of the cohesion or confidence they had on display against FaZe, with Liquid's preparation and individual excellence shining through while their players punished sloppy mistakes from Complexity throughout the series.

Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak was the man of the hour for Liquid as he demolished Complexity across both maps in the series, winning a crucial clutch and dominating on Anubis with 22 frags — 10 more than his closest teammate.
It wasn't a one-man show, though, with Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis at the forefront of his team's authoritative performance on Nuke before "Roland from Poland" took charge.

Ahead of the match, Liquid's head coach Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg hinted at some of the preparation his team had done in anticipation of Complexity taking the battle to Cedar Creek, pointing at the way MOUZ and Astralis' A anchors had prepared to counter the American team's Upper flashes.
That preparation paid off as Liquid withstood Complexity's early A executes before completely running away with the game on the CT side.
YEKINDAR was at the forefront of that charge as he tallied his best map rating to date in Counter-Strike 2, decimating Complexity from Mini with a 19-5 K-D, 3:0 record in opening duels, and an embarrassment of a 1v3 clutch that only added to Complexity's pain.

The Latvian's withering performance combined with a 5:0 opening duel record and 15-4 K-D from ultimate gave Liquid a flawless 12-0 defensive half, with their only disappointing moment in the series stemming from not winning the second pistol for the 13-0.
Complexity fared no better on Anubis, despite the score looking slightly more respectable. They nearly dropped 5v3/4v2 situations in both of their round wins near the end of their CT effort, and did drop one to a clutch from ultimate at the end of the half.

The Polish sniper then took over in the second half to deny any chance of a comeback, including with a pixel-perfect flick quad-kill round that set his team on series point.
