Cloud9 have no starting roster left after their entire squad departed during the latest player break.

Cloud9 have announced the departure of Timofey "⁠interz⁠" Yakushin, meaning the entire squad that competed for Cloud9 in their last tournament outing, Perfect World Shanghai Major, has now left the team.

G2 announce HeavyGod signing

interz was part of the former Gambit roster that Cloud9 signed early in 2022, before finding himself benched in 2023 amidst struggles with his individual level.

The 24-year-old returned to Cloud9 for a second stint in July 2024, forming part of the rebuild that saw Nikita "⁠HeavyGod⁠" Martynenko and Kaisar "⁠ICY⁠" Faiznurov also join the team. Said iteration of the roster achieved little of note over the back half of 2024, failing to make headway in qualifiers for significant LAN events.

Ax1Le and Boombl4 depart Cloud9 for BetBoom

They did, however, make it to Perfect World Shanghai Major, where they exited in the Opening Stage with a single map win to their name. In the wake of their early Major exit, the roster has been picked apart, with ICY joining Virtus.pro, HeavyGod joining G2, and Sergey "⁠Ax1Le⁠" Rykhtorov and Kirill "⁠Boombl4⁠" Mikhailov linking up with BetBoom.

whats the next roster they pump and dump? Theres a few unsponsored euro mixes they could probably get really cheap. I would like to see C9 come back to NA but the scene doesn't really exist here to make money
